    The characters in this story met in a unconventional way but the sparks fly the minute they look at each other! Age difference does not even make a difference in this and things get hot hot very quickly!

    A new series and a new story!! Luke loves what he does and he is good at it. He is a firefighter for life. He saves lives. He meets Stella on a call. Neither expected to feel the instant attraction. But they did. And this is a sweet story with a little bit of heat added to it. I love instalove stories and I love it when they are short. This hits the mark. Zoey Rose has done a good job of making it an interesting and fun read.

    Running into burning buildings and saving folks is his thing… he however doesn’t expect to meet his forever girl while doing that. But there she is and after realizing he never wants her to not be near he makes that move that begins their love story! HEA!

    Luke, the fire chief gets the alarm that there is a house fire involving a possible victim inside; not knowing that his life may change forever. The house is a two-story and there is heavy smoke so they will need to use thermal imaging to find any victims. Luke gets a thermal image of a victim in what appears to be a second - story bedroom where he finds a unconscious young woman. As he carefully descends the stairs, he sees how beautiful she appears to be and how she fits against his chest. Luke checks with the hospital repeatedly since he can't leave the scene of the fire. Since Stella just moved into town 3 weeks ago, Luke offers her the extra bedroom at the station. He doesn't want to let her out of his sight. How does Stella feel about his taking care of her? Luke's daughter, Sadie, who works as their dispatcher, tells Stella that she believes that her father has a thing for Stella and that he deserves happiness. Is she right? What does Luke want? Watch the interaction in the firehouse as all the firefighters are like family.

    I really liked Luke and Stella, and thought the story overall was a very cute story. I liked the spice, didn’t feel like it was a crazy amount since it was only one scene. Overall I thought it was a good read, but I did rate it lower given that the book itself was pretty short and it felt like the story was rushed. If you enjoy instalove romances though that are short reads, you will love this book!

    Firefighters can be a tough bunch, ragging and baiting each other, but when the calls come in, they are back on duty, serious, and have each other’s back. Luke is disillusioned with the admin side of things so when a fire alarm rings out he leaves with the crew to the home on fire. He locates the resident of the house and gets her to safety. Through the flames and smoke, he realizes something is different. He’s been alone a long time but something about Stella pulls at him. Stella needs a place to stay for a couple days to make plans for what is next for her so Luke offers the firehouse’s extra room. Will he make a move on her or keep it professional?
