    Wow, I cannot wait for book 2. I didn’t know it wasn’t a complete series yet so when I went to jump to book 2 I literally screamed because I have to wait so long. I love all the characters. I’m a huge fan of the plot and story telling. Beautifully done.

    Jaymin is the queen of writing fierce, independent, and sassy fmcs and Emme is no different in this book. I loved her fiery personality and she fit in with her men. Hunter and Kellan knew they'd anything to keep her, whereas Slade and Finn weren't sold yet. Kellan has golden retriever energy but the rest could learn to smile more. Emme has been on the run and seen some horrible things just like Hunter, Finn and Slade. When they all give into their commonalities, the heat will be explosive. This book is a slow burn, high tension, edge of your seat, rollercoaster.

    WARNING! CLIFFHANGER! This one rates a 5/5 on my trauma scale, so consider yourself warned.

    She was a rogue shifter for most of her life, a packless omega living her life on the run. Unfortunately for Emmeline Anders, when she ends up captured by rogue hunters, she is taken to one of the shifter cities - the very places she has tried to avoid.
    Meeting her scent match in one of the most dominant alphas in the city, she’s brought into his pack, even as she tries to resist him.

    For most of this book, the story is on the light hearted side, as Emmeline gets used to the new men in her life, and tries to learn a little about the shifter world she has never truly been a part of before. First there are the alphas in the quintet group she’s scent matched to, of which there are four; Hunter, their entitled alpha and leader; Slade, the most dominant and a loner; Fin, a grumpy shifter determined to stay away from her; and Kellen, a loveable and charming shifter determined to break through her shell.
    This first part of the story is very much a getting-to-know-you situation, as we are also introduced to the world and the people in it.
    The tension and action ramp up, however, the further into the book we go, as we realise that Emme wasn’t on the run for the fun of it, and as danger begins to stalk her path. This leads to the big, and rather traumatic cliffhanger, which is made all the more so by the fact book two is not yet out (as of December 2024).
    There is a little spice to the book, though the steamy scenes are at a minimum in this book, I’m definitely expecting them to heat up in the next one as our characters get to know each other.

    It’s an engrossing book, with some interesting characters, most of whom still have their secrets. Emme herself is a fascinating person, because she knows things, but due to her past and how she was treated, she doesn’t know what everything means.

    An enjoyable story, this is one that RH fantasy lovers will enjoy.

    Oh my goodness! This story was amazing. This was my first book by Jaymin Eve and I absolutely loved it. It is a unique world that throughly enjoyed seeing. Emme is this strong willed Omega that honestly is just as sweet and kind as can be. She is one that doesn’t let anyone push her around but yet knows how to be sweet and kind as well. The Alphas are definitely a mix that really adds to the story. It is extremely well written and developed. It pulled me in right from the very beginning. It started off action packed and the filled with drama and a bit of mystery. Unfortunately, we get to a dreaded major cliffhanger that has me absolutely excited for the next book to see what happens. This is absolutely a fantastic book.

    Wow, Jaymin Eve is a FANTASTIC author! You get a lot of everything in this book! Despair, pain, sadness, trauma, friendship, love, and happiness. Emme has a sad and lonely life on the run. Then she is caught and taken to Golden Claw! There she meets her scent match! What is going to happen to her? Will she stay or run at her first chance? Read this book to find out! I can't wait until the next book!

    I started this book yesterday and basically almost finished it in one sitting. I wish it were longer. I’m excited about this series and I can’t wait to read more. Emme is a great character with layers and depth. I just with that Fin would actually try to get to know her. The guys are also deep and layered characters and I know there’s way more to this story. I can’t wait to read more.

    Jaymin books are an immediate read for me, and I snagged this on release day. It did NOT disappoint! The characters, world building, romance, tension, angst, Alpha daddies...all top tier!! Now this book had a little less spice than her typical romantasy's, but I didn't mind. The few spice scenes are great and this being the 1st in this series it really lets the characters develop and tension grow before getting to the goods! I read it in 2 days, could not put it down, and several days later its still an obsession in my head. I haven't been able to start a new book bc this one is on loop in my mind! Cant wait for book 2.
