About this item
My brother’s best friend is such a jerk.
An imposing, handsome jerk who doesn’t trust me. And now we’re roommates.
He wanders around the apartment in nothing but gray sweatpants, looking like a broody, tattooed muscle god, and playing music that shakes the walls. I want to hate him for treating me like an intruder, but there’s something about the way he looks at me—like he’s trying to figure me out—that keeps pulling me in.
Archer Holland is loyal, caring, and protective—with everyone except me.
Every time I move around our apartment, I can feel his glare. And the worst part? It only makes me want him more.
Not that it matters.
He’s my brother’s best friend—the one guy I can never have. But after a late-night rescue, we go from sharing a wall to sharing a bed.
I’m not sure what my brother would do if he found out, but it doesn’t matter because Archer says it can’t happen again.
That imposing, handsome jerk is about to find out I’m done playing by his rules.
Comeback is a football romance with lots of spice, swoon, and a happily ever after. It’s the third book in the Holland Brothers series and can be read as a standalone.
Tropes:
- forced proximity / roommates
- broody tattooed football hero
- sneaking around
- ASL and chronic illness rep
- dual POV

5.0 out of 5 stars Archer and Sabrina are everything

4.0 out of 5 stars Time for Archer to have his day!!
I felt so excited about Archer's story, and it didn't disappoint me at all! These Holland brothers really just know how to pull on your heartstrings.
Archer was a bit broody at the start of this book, but it was all because he wanted what was best for Brogan, and he was afraid that his sister, Sabrina, would hurt him again. So, Archer wanted to distance himself from her as much and that meant being kind of a jerk to her…even though he was definitely crushing on her from afar. Eventually, Sabrina could explain herself to Archer and tell him why she had left before, and he could see that she wasn’t who he thought she was. After that, Archer apologised and wasn’t hiding his attraction to Sabrina anymore…and she wasn’t hiding her attraction to Archer either!
One thing I loved was the ASL and hearing impairment representation in this story through Archer, but the best part was that Sabrina knew sign language and was happy to speak to Archer using ASL when he needed her to. Sabrina was always so accommodating to Archer’s hearing loss and it was a great thing to see. Rebecca did a great job with the representation in this story too, at least as far as I can tell as a hearing person, but I appreciate that she did the necessary research about it and represented Archer’s hearing loss and the ASL aspects to the best of her ability in a way we could understand.
I don’t want to spoil too much, but I will say that I loved how Rebecca handled the brother’s best friend aspect of the story. That’s all I’m going to say about it, so I won't spoil anything! But I loved seeing more of Brogan and London during this story. Brogan was so happy to have a relationship with his sister, but Sabrina was equally happy to have Brogan in her life. Watching their relationship blossom was as amazing as watching Sabrina and Archer’s relationship bloom!
I enjoyed this story so much and it was great seeing Archer find his way to Sabrina. He has been acquiescing to people his whole life, despite being the one with hearing loss that needed more accommodations, so it was nice to see him find someone like Sabrina who treated him like everyone else while still accommodating him when he needed it. It was great to see Sabrina get someone like Archer who was always her biggest cheerleader and who treated her so well. This was such a great story and I can’t wait to see what happens to our final Holland brother, Flynn, in his story!

I love how close this family is. They are supportive, caring, and they aren’t afraid of showing true vulnerability and emotions.
Archer was everything. Protective, sweet, caring, and funny. Sabrina was kind hearted, vulnerable, and a little sassy! I loved how they connected and how their friendship evolved into more. Their story was sweet and their passion was endless. I loved how they weren’t afraid to be emotionally open with each other, it was such an amazing aspect of their relationship.
I loved this story and i loved seeing everyone else and getting looks into their lives.
I seriously can’t wait for Flynn’s book — specially if we get more of this family all together!
Thank you Rebecca for the early opportunity to read this amazing book! I LOVED IT!

5.0 out of 5 stars You don’t want to miss Archer & Sabrina!!
I love how Sabrina is so in-tune with Archer and his comfort around crowds. Archer may be grumpy at first and frankly a bit of a jerk to Sabrina because he doesn’t trust her, but once he decides he’s all in, HE’S A BIG OLD SOFTIE! And it’s everything Sabrina needs.
I’ve loved all the Holland brothers and Archer is fantastic and might be my favorite!
