About this item

Steal
Taking over from my dad as President,
Filling his shoes scared me, but I was ready, and he ensured it.
There was nothing more I wanted than to make him proud,
To bring this club higher.
Then I met her.
She captivated me and made me want her.
And I had her for a while.
But I took her for granted, and she was ready to leave me.
Until something happened, and I refused to hear her side of things.
She left me.
I tried to find her while concentrating on my club.
Only to find out she never left at all,
She stayed with something of mine.
I try to talk to her, needing to hear her voice,
But she won’t give me the time of day.
Now, I believe it’s time she understood the man I’ve become,
The man who won’t give up.
Because one way or another, I’ll make her mine again.

Cassidy
Falling for him wasn’t something I saw coming.
My goal was to become a doctor,
Someone to make my family proud.
And that didn’t change, it was still my priority,
But so was he.
I gave him my heart, my love.
But he didn’t feel the same.
Instead, she was his focus – she always was.
He took her word over mine and told me to go.
Years spent being second best, I did as I was told.
I stayed hidden, trying to live my life,
But he entered my world again.
He pushed into my life despite me pushing back harder.
He’s trying to fight for me,
But too much hurt has passed between us.
And I can’t face any more heartache.
If only he got the memo….

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of Angst, Rightful Anger, OW and MC Drama

Steal makes so many bad decisions that hurt Cassidy while trying to prove his right to take over the MC when it is time. He loves her and expects her to understand that he does while also catering to Faith who is MC family and someone he slept with before meeting Cassidy.

The backstory in the book covers 4 years of their relationship and was very well written. It provides most of the angst and disappointments which led to Cassidy fleeing from Steal, her sister and everyone when she was accused of murdering an MC brother.

The present majority of the story is 4 years later when Cassidy is found again as the ER doctor responsible for treating the wife of another MC member. She lets Steal have it with both barrels as she shares her pain and anger over his previous actions and with her determination to keep him out of her life while deciding on how to tell him he is a father.

This story has lots of angst, rightful anger, OW and MC drama. Through all this Steal redeems himself and we get to see the manipulations behind the scenes that cause so much pain.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mc second chance, secret child storyline…

I loved everything about this book except the rehashing of how our hero messed up and broke our heroine’s heart. Don’t get me wrong… it was a BIG deal, but after a while it felt like our heroine should just cut bait.

I love the secret child trope but some of it felt a little unbearable. It is a romance book though she I don’t care that much.

I REALLY love experiencing more of this MC world. All the characters are amazing and this book ties up so many questions I had reading the two books before in this series. Yes you could read this as a standalone like the others but why would you want to. Wink.

    Happy Reading Everyone! XOXO

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good!

I agree with some of the comments I’ve seen about the repeating of what happened being draining to read again and again. The writing style is a little confusing and some typos but other than that the story was good and fast paced!

I love all your Mc books . Please keep them coming! Don’t stop ! I love the drama and when the men mess up and how they grovel , love it! I come to your page all the time to see if you drop a book! Lol I stalk your page lol.
But about the book… I was so sad for Cass when he put the gun to her head in the previous books, but when I read from steals pov it still made me sad but I got it. Felt bad for him cause he was torn between his family and the love of his life.
    Keep it coming!

I really have enjoyed all the MC stories by this author. The storyline is very interesting and the characters are well developed. The only problem I had with this story was the fact that the female main character Cassidy, was constantly stating how Steal had hurt her too many times and she wasn't sure she could forgive him. This was redundant and got very boring. Other than that I enjoyed the book very much.

2.0 out of 5 stars The plot and grovel was meh
Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2025
I felt inclined to finish reading this, but it definitely wasn't my cup of tea and was more of a rage read. BBS was definitely a thing here, and the grovel wasn't really there, it was like a week of groveling, and it spanned a chapter and was sped up, and the "groveling" was basically the MMC allowing the FMC to play pranks on him, and just taking it in stride. FMC was still a doormat if you ask me, and the plot had tons of holes. Like how the "brothers" were happy to see the FMC and wanted the MMC to stay as the prez, but at the same time the whole plot is that the MMC can't do anything he wants to do like get rid of the OW because of the club brothers, and a huge part of the plot is the club brothers not liking the FMC.
