    Andrew Mayne is a very talented writer. His books grab you from the first paragraphs and never let go. He creates strong, memorable characters. He seems to write effortlessly. Yet anybody who has tried to write even a great sentence knows great writing is anything but effortless. It’s talent.

    In Mr. Whisper, four protagonists from his previous series coalesce seamlessly in the same space and somehow each character is strengthened. Each has a central role in the story, each makes key contributions, but none get preferential treatment.

    It works and I imagine few writers could pull this off. Andrew Mayne can and does.

    Mr. Whisper is another terrific story in an impressive collection of novels by a great writer. Even if you haven’t read his prior books, you’ll enjoy this one. If you have met Theo, Jessica, Sloan, Brad, and the others, this will be a real treat.

    Mr. Whisper took a few chapters to get moving; but when the plot started churning, I couldn’t stop reading. I was tempted to use AI to write this review, but refrained. Intriguing plot and certainly relevant in this tech-filled world. The story ended somewhat abruptly, but certainly leaves plenty of room for expansion!

    Quite entertaining. Mind control in an unusual way. Interesting characters and settings. The team much have had a great budget for all of the flying around the country that they did.

    This book was disappointing. Mayne's books usually have a strong narrative line that pulls you into the story. This one meandered around until the very last pages. At that point, it picked up a lot of speed and wrapped the story up so quickly that I was left going "what?".

    If this had been written by another author, I would have rated it 2 stars. I gave an extra star because of all his other great books. I suggest you read his other books instead of this one.

    I always drop everything to read Mayor's books. It's edge of your seat from the 1st page. This 1 was no different I have 1 complaint I hate the ending. I won't give you a spoiler as to why. At any rate it's a really good story. I'm a fan of Theo and Jessica And always look forward to a new 1. I'm waiting..

    Was a good book. Some connections were a little loose (since when did the gunman at the church's dna come back as a murderer, i don't remember that) and then things not answered (how did Moss Man lose his memory in the first place, what was in the back of the police vehicle that sloan saw?). Was a little all over the place, but ptherwise pretty good.

    I like his fiction best as it is rooted in contemporary science or something not too far in future. I have read all his books, and this he has brought together all his characters together. I hope more from the quad-Theo, Sloane, Jessica, and Brad , coming in future.
