    ???????? my goodness, this story had me in stitches from the very first chapter! It was absolutely hilarious and heartwarming, and I couldn't get enough of it!

    ???????????????????? finds herself in need of a job after getting fired, but luckily the handsome security guard offers her a house-sitting gig. Things take an unexpected turn when he returns early and they end up being roommates. Little did she know that he was actually Holt Webster, the captain of the rugby team that Ziggy's stepfather owned. Adding to the complications, her stepfather had a strict rule prohibiting any player from dating his daughters.

    ???????????? sweetness of this story is just too much to handle. It had me laughing and feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. The characters are so lovable, and the fur baby, Jessica the French bulldog, stole the show with her sassy and adorable personality.

    ???????????? let's talk about the narration - Connor Crais and Kit Swann did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life. Their dual narration was spot on and perfect for any romcom lovers.

    ???????? you're looking for a fun story with sweet moments and plenty of swoon, do yourself a favor and check out this incredible audiobook. You won't be disappointed!

    Pippa Grant books are always a sure bet. Not only are her meet cutes original, but they’re often hold your sides funny. This book had so many laughs, so many enjoyable spicy moments and tons of feels. She absolutely sl@Ted my heart with this one. The Roommate Mistake has tons to love. You’ll find sports romance (Rugby), off limits, forced proximity (my fav), pregnant FMC (not his), roommates to lovers and the funniest dog ever!

    I loved the dynamic between Holt and Ziggy. These two just seemed to click from the start. Somehow they managed to always see straight to who the other person was without all the noise. They are both going through their own versions of loss and loneliness and together they truly save one another. Although it has to be said they don’t do it all on their own. The supporting characters are fantastic and bring so much to the overall story. If you’re up to speed in the Pippaverse you’ll have tons of enjoyment reading how things play out, but if you’re new this is just as an enjoyable a read. I totally expected to laugh reading this book and indeed I did. No one does uncomfortable RomCom cringe moments better than Pippa Grant. You’ll also get super hot spicy moments and a one of a kind pet character you can’t help but adore.

    All that being said this book absolutely wrecked my heart in places. Don’t worry it’s all in good ways and yes there is a fantastic HEA, but the way I sobbed reading the epilogue and bonus content! My heart and soul were touched and I’m still just recovering. There were tears just streaming down my face at the beauty of certain moments. My big ole heart went through it. I can’t recommend this book enough. This was just a gorgeous read! Thank you for writing another banger Pippa!

    Thoughts: Pippa Grant is the queen of writing romcoms that have emotional depth. While I loved the laughs, I appreciated the realness of both Ziggy and Holt’s vulnerabilities. They both had reasons not to trust and it took them both some time to figure out if they could trust each other. When Holt invited Ziggy to housesit, he never intended to return to Copper Valley, and that’s the decision that really started it all.

    Holt returns to Copper Valley pretty beaten down, but in his return he finds peace in the family the Pounders have created and he finds his way back from his grief with Ziggy’s easygoing personality. I liked how Ziggy took care of him and in return, Holt took care of her. They were an unlikely pair but they had a lot in common and both needed someone they could be honest and vulnerable with. I loved the evolution of their relationship and the way they fought for it, even when it seemed like it might be impossible.

    I enjoyed this book. I loved all the side characters and I loved that the drama came from outside Ziggy and Holt’s relationship. There was a lot of set up in the first half of the book, but I really loved all the humor that made the slow start seem to fly by.
