5.0 out of 5 stars Rolling Stone - Hunter Thompson to Trump - always vital
Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2019
I enjoy contemporary viewpoints that are valid and penetrating.
Rolling Stone fills both requirements fully.
I began reading and quoting Rolling Stone when Hunter Thompson frightened Americans with his often depraved insights to the contemporary culture. I have lived long enough to see the depraved President of the United States frighten rational America with antics that exceed anything Hunter Thompson tried to express.
In both cases Rolling Stone filled in the blanks with an intelligent wink!

5.0 out of 5 stars Always at least one superb article!

There are many things in Rolling Stone that I don't read. But the political stuff is what I read it for. The articles are written by a newer generation that have a different point of view and who tell it like it is. Matt Taibbi is one of my favs. The article on the Success of Obamacare was perfect. If you ever turn on FOX, even for a fly by, you can hear them forever trying to take a chunk out of Affordable Health for all. This article debunked the myths that FOX insists on and offers the reality of what is really working.

4.0 out of 5 stars I love Rolling Stone

I would like to switch this subscription to print, but can't seem to get through with that. Rolling Stone is just once that you want the pix and articles to be in your hand!

5.0 out of 5 stars Kindle edition is great - no problem now with storage of the magazine
Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2013
I subscribed to Rolling Stone magazine from the early 1980s through the end of 1999. At that point, storing the issues was becoming a real problem. So when I found the magazine is offered via Kindle, I was so happy! I will generally read the magazine from cover to cover, and haven't yet finished this one. I would recommend Rolling Stone magazine to those who enjoy pop culture, from music to movies to books and beyond. I'm looking forward to receiving my next issue!

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not purchase from the picture
Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2013
I looked at the picture of the magazine published on June 20th the next day. On June 21, the picture of the addition I wanted to purchase, the June 20th copy, was on the page, on the order and when it started to go to my Kindle, I stopped the download. I was receiving the copy BEFORE THE COPY PICTURED IN THE PURCHASE.

This is just wrong but, sine=ce it is a digital order, even though it has never been downloaded I have NO WAY TO RETURN OR CANCEL BEFORE THE ORDER IS DELIVERED.

DO NOT BUY THE OVER PRICED "CURRENT" ISSUE, YOU WILL HAVE BETTER LUCK AT WALMART GETTING WHAT YOU WANT> DAMN SHAME, OVER $5 FOR AN ITEM THAT WAS NOT WHAT WAS PURCHASED. THE JUNE 20TH ISSUE is the CURRENT issue on JUNE 21. ESC+PECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE A PICTURE OF A MAGAZINE THEY ARE NOT GOING TO SEND YOU.

KEEP YOUR CASH. IT IS WAY OVERPRICED AND FALSE ADVERTISING - AMAZON GIVES ME NO WAY TO EVEN SEND AN EMAIL ABOUT THE ORDER - THANKS!

3.0 out of 5 stars Reviewing the actual magazine as a paper form

Gone are the days of this large glossy high-quality paper magazine. it is a disappointment to hold it, if you are excepting the way this magazine used to feel in your hands. smaller and thinner too.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love the new format and paper quality

Just time for a short review. I love the new format and paper quality. The previous format was getting cheaper and cheaper. This I like. And monthly is fine with me as it looks like the content is expanded anyway.

RS has always been one of my favorite magazines. Very glad that I gave the electronic version a try. And they haven't cut down on the content or the quality of the articles and issues they cover.
