About this item
Get ready to fall in love with the mountain men of Clearwater Construction! These blue collar men are about to meet the women of their dreams!
In Morning Wood by Megan Wade, chef Piper and carpenter Levi have a misunderstanding over lumber and cold showers that leads to a punny union to last the ages...
Piper:
When I arrive in Clearwater, Oregon, I am running from my past, seeking a fresh start in a town where no one knows my failures. As a chef who has lost everything, I never expect to find love, let alone a chance to rediscover my passion for cooking.
But then I meet Levi Angelo, a charming carpenter with eyes as blue as the Oregon skies and a heart as warm as the summer sun. As he and his team work to renovate my fixer-upper, I find myself drawn to him, despite my fears and the walls I have built around my heart. And if I can survive the hilarious misunderstanding about his 'morning wood,' I might just have a chance at happiness.
Levi:
From the moment I first lay eyes on Piper Costa, I know she is special. With her guarded smile and her soulful brown eyes, she captures my heart in a way no woman ever has before. Even if our first encounter involves an awkward misunderstanding about my 'morning wood' that leaves her blushing and me grinning like a fool.
As we work together to transform her house into a home, I find myself falling harder and faster than I ever thought possible. But Piper's past holds her back, and I know it will take more than a few charming words, a handsome smile, and a bit of laughter over my lumber to win her trust.
So I show her, with every touch, every kiss, and every whispered word of encouragement, that I am in this for the long haul. And as she begins to open up, to let me in, I watch in awe as she rediscovers her love for cooking and realizes that failures can be beginnings, and dreams can take on new forms.
Part of the Clearwater multi-author collaborative series, this small-town curvy girl romance comes with Megan Wade's Sugar Promise. High heat, low drama, guaranteed.

Happiness can be instant

A heartwarming tale of lost and found and having a second lease on life. While an adorable story (funny and cute at times), a discrepancy in length of marriage and age of first child is off. The child is younger when she should be the same age or older (according to first epilog).

Levi & Piper

Book 3 in the Clearwater Construction series is another fun entry and gives readers the story of Levi, the charming carpenter, and Piper, the new to town resident who needs help restoring her home. I laughed out loud at the first meeting and the misunderstanding over the morning wood, and the laughs kept coming with the wit and fun banter between the two. I loved how Levi took his time to bring Piper up to speed but he knew what he wanted and wasn't afraid to let her know. Great entry and fun look at some of the other characters we've already met.

This book was sweet. It had a little bit of the sass that I'm used to with this author, but it was very much down played.

A Really Enjoyable Story

Levi fell hard and fast for Piper. He may be her carpenter but he wants to be a whole lot more. An awkward yet hilarious miss understanding sets them up to create a relationship from the beginning. When Piper meets Levi’s grandmother it was the perfect way for them to grow closer but also for her to see that she shouldn’t give up her passion. I really enjoyed this story.

Levi and Piper

A fun story that's set in the Clearwater town that several authors are doing stories in the series. This time it's Piper and Levi. Levi is on the crew that's renovating Piper's house that she just bought when she moved to Clearwater. He's smitten at first sight and she's not too far behind, but just needs to clear some hurdles from her past. This is an instalove and per usual, Megan Wade does it with style, class and humor. It's very low on drama and high on steaminess. I loved the role that Nonna plays into the story as she adds a flavor of humor to the story as well and I can picture her clearly in my head.
