Fast moving and technically accurate. Easy to read, entertaining dialogue and a interesting, well-developed plot. Kaine is a likable badass who is more like Nick Stone than Jack Reacher. I look forward to reading more of these books.

In harms way to protect the innocent. He experiences great hurt and pain but doesn't back off until the job is done. A very fun read

I loved reading this book and ready for the next. It was so intriguing. You never know what will happen next. The character is a good guy. How will he work it out.

Fantastic read, awesome characters. This is a book that keeps you guessing. Didn't end as I had hoped but leaves plenty of opportunities for the next segment. Keep up the great stories.

This is a very rich read with great characters that are well developed and a story line that keeps building to the end. This is a series you don’t want to miss. It holds on to you and takes you on a great adventure.

I give Kerry Donovan a lot of credit. Certain books you feel like you are watching a movie….Donovan captures this with the Kaine series. The plot, characters, the action…just so intense and cool. Plot twists and Kaine is just an awesome protagonist. I loved this book and will be reading the rest of the series! What a start!

This is the series starter for the Ryan Kaine series. Overall, I enjoyed the book but there were issues. First and foremost, the villains were WAY over the top. It seems in the author's mind, bad guys are gay and like hurting people. In real life, bad people are more nuanced. The other issue I had was there were several strategic mistakes that require you to suspend disbelief. The Ryan Kaine character however is well developed and is enjoyable to root for. I will seek out the next book in the series in the hope that the author tones down the silly bad guys.
