    Pulse is the first book set within the Landry Family Security series. Troy and Dahlia work together and are good with keeping things professional, that is until Dahlia is sent threatening messages and Troy finds it necessary to step in and protect her. Hiding in a vacation home, with one bed, and fighting their attraction, could they share the space and keep it professional, will their passions take over and find so much more, or will her stalker catch up to her?

    Oh my goodness, this book was absolutely fabulous!! Troy and Dahlia were a huge hit, I loved them right from the very beginning of this book, adored their banter and passion and the ways they got under each other’s skin in the best of ways, and I didn’t want to put this book down once I started it! So good! Dahlia was funny and engaging, I loved her practical side, her sunshiny attitude, and I thought she just brought so much joy to the book. I really loved her character. Troy was just *swoon* he was intense and protective and so scared to taint the one good thing in his life (aka, Dahlia), but once she was his, that was it. Game over. Gah! So good! I loved their dynamic together, too. I thought Ms. Locke did a fantastic job with combining her usual flow and flare of writing with suspense and kind of guessing who was behind it all. Some things I saw coming, while others were a big surprise, but that made it so much more fun to read. I adored this book and can’t wait to see what Ms. Locke will create next!

    Dahlia and Troy both work at Landry Security. He's the badass bodyguard and she's his assistant. They bicker and banter all the time (think Penelope and Morgan from Criminal Minds), but we can tell there is a strong attraction there. One of which Troy is very conflicted about, especially because they work like a well-oiled machine. 

    When Dahlia receives a death threat, Troy goes into overprotective mode. They find themselves hiding out and a wonderful location with the quintessential "one bed" situation. There is so much a man can take, more so when that Dahlia throws caution to the wind and tells him exactly how she feels. 

    A fast paced, quick story that brings Troy to the spotlight (if you have been reading Adriana's books, you certainly heard about him). It's full of banter, it's hotter than the sun and you'll enjoy seeing the tough-as-nails bodyguard show his soft side. Dahlia is a fun character who provides really fun lines.

    Narrated dual style by C.J. Bloom and Connor Brown. Connor is a new narrator to me and I had a little bit of a hard time with his style of narration. C.J. shines as she always does, especially when you give her a feisty heroine. 

    You'll get a treat in many cameos and mentions from characters from other books. You will also get your heart broken by Troy's traumatic background.

    Love Troy and Dahlia's story. I was hooked within the first few pages of this book. The banter between these two was awesome, and a ton of chemistry. Their journey wasn't an easy one, but was so worth the read. Highly recommend.

    Oh Adriana Locke! She really delivered on making such an amazing multi-layered Hero. Troy is everything and so much more than I had hoped for! We have gotten to know him in many books previous to this one, but in this book we get to really fall in love with him! As for Dahlia, our Heroine, what can I say? She really is so strong and compassionate and funny and so sweet. I couldn't have asked for better banter between the two of them! Dahlia is Troy's assistant at the Landry Security company. They have been fighting their attraction to one another for 2 years. But when Dahlia's life is threatened by a mystery person, Troy is there to protect her and figure out who is behind the threat and neutralize it. They are on the run, and you guessed it, there is only one bed. True feelings come to the surface and old woulds from both their pasts are shared and overcome.
    I loved this book because you get to have what we all know and love from Adriana's books, family whether it be found or through blood combined with a new venture for Adriana, Romantic Suspense!
    I'm a sucker for any type of mystery, a who dunnit. And this one DID NOT DISSAPOINT!!! The more unhinged the villian is, the better for me! It is my catnip!
    I literally read this book in a couple of days and then as soon as I was at the last page, I flipped to the first page and read it all over again. I hardly ever re-read books! I need all the other books in the Landry Security Series now. I'm assuming Theo will be next, lol??? Looking forward to more from Adriana Locke! Do yourself a favor and download this book to your kindle!
