Everything You Could Want or Need in a Book ????♥️

This book…there are no words to describe how phenomenal it is. Seriously! It tugs at your heart strings and is one of the best examples of imperfect perfect characters who bleed like we do, who cry, laugh and love like we do.

Holt is the kind of guy I love and hope to find some day. Hell, all of the guys in the Lost & Found Series are not only hot as sin but as loyal, loving and protective as can be. They love their women, love their family and would die to protect them.

While Holt left, he never stopped loving Wren. The nickname he has for her, Cricket, how can you resist melting into a pile of goo, how can you resist the swoon?! I’m telling you, you can’t.

I love everything about this book. An alpha male who is protective, loyal and loves his woman with every fiber of his being. A badass, strong heroine who can stand on her own but relishes in the safety her man provides. Nothing is better than a second chance romance with angst and an HEA.

This is a must read as are the rest of the books in this series.

Holt x Wren

My first Catherine Cowles and it was a solid read!

The characters are very easy to invest in, the story is well written and easy to follow, and the romance was pretty intense, Cowles definitely delivers on the suspenseful front.

I loved most the way Holt’s family fully incorporated Wren into their mix, how much her family it was Holt’s in spite of his absence. I’m also incredibly eager to learn the other brother’s (and Grae’s) stories because not one of these characters wasn’t immensely lovable from the get.

I’m not a big fan of second chance romance, it’s not my go to trope, but this one was done well and I’d read it again.

This book resembles so much Great and Precious Things by Rebecca Yarros. Which is my favourite book of hers.
I am just a sucker for second chances. And the angst, frustration, grief and hope in this one is so overwhelming. I loved every word in it.

Sometimes the decisions we makes though they sound like the correct ones for us but for others around are quite the opposite.
This book is about second chances, atonement, being worthy, being enough and endless love. Holt’s infinite and unconditional love for Wren is so inspiring. His need to protect her at all times. The way he’s spiritually connected to her is the kind of love that is so rare!
Wren’s beautiful heart and the way she sees the good things in everyone around her is so humbling. I just wished she was a little bit tougher. But she is absolutely PERFECT.

I love Chris in this book. He’s been so supportive and such a good friend for Wren. Even if he had his personal reasons, that he was a bit in love with her, but at least he was there. Every step of the way and Wren should have been more appreciative and thankful for him.

Their family dynamics. The way they all support and love each other. The way they embraced Wren and wanted to protect her heart even from their own son. This is everything!

This is my second time reading this book and I loved every bit of it. It has easily become one of my favourite comfort books.
I love the series and I love Catherine Cowles books.
Such a beautiful story.

HOLY GUACAMOLE! I could not put this one down! There was laughter, tears, anger, suspense, jaw drops & so much love! Wren & Holt are so perfectly imperfect & I loved every minute of their story together! This was so pure in the romance and the plot was incredible with following a storyline over 10 years! Can’t wait to read more of the series!

I thought this was a beautiful story. It was probably the first truly suspenseful romance book I’ve read, and I actually really enjoyed that. I definitely wasn’t expecting it. The twists in this book had me captivated. Not to mention the love story! Wren and Holt were a match made in heaven. I think this story really speaks to the types of issues that real couples face (although most probably haven’t had to deal with the exact trauma of these two). It’s often our own insecurities and fears that get in the way and cause us to make stupid decisions. These two get a second chance at love, and I’m here for it! There was a little bit of spice in this book, but nothing too vivid. If you like spice but don’t want it to be excessive, this is a good book for you. I can’t wait to continue reading this series!

I read this author’s newest book Fragile Sanctuary and I enjoyed it so thought I’d try another one. Was pretty disappointed that I was basically the same plot line reworked barely at all. Both MC have a tragedy, get together, some drama with a kidnapping, same twist for who the kidnapper is (a barely there side character that you hardly know), then the HEA complete with the exact same proposal using a gifted book with a ring attached to the bookmark in it. Both FMCs are surprisingly not hardened by their trauma and give in to the MCs extremely quickly, no groveling AT ALL and both books have a super empath bff/soul sister. All the same characters, different names.

Really thought I found a few decent books to get lost in but I’m not going to waste more time for a rinse-and-repeat plot.
