I read this series of original stories, although it was not one of my preferred genres, and I'm so glad I did. It was amazing, terrifying, and extremely well-written! Thank you, Guillermo del Toro, Chuck Hogan, and the two talented illustrators, Fabrizio De Tommaso and Guy Davis, for their combined epic series that I enjoyed greatly!

I read all of them in a day. Keeps your attention and interest. Didn't really like the ending, but wasn't surprised.

"Encounter" wraps up this serial with an ending that I didn't see coming - and honestly can't say that I'm entirely happy about. Still, it's not a bad ending. It's perfectly logical. It just really caught me off guard.

As with the previous five parts of this series, this one was obviously crafted by experts. The characterization is superb. The action is edge-of-your-seat. The dialogue is amazing. These two authors are truly masters of their craft!

If you've read the first five parts of this series, then you simply must read its conclusion! You have got to - right now, or as soon as you can - pick up a copy of "Encounter"!

Poor resolution for a series of short stories with cliffhangers. I quickly read through each one, too hooked to stop. The ending, however, was a let down. It wasn't a cliffhanger ending, but an abrupt stop.

Fast pace, so different from any story about this theme, and of course has to come from the mind of Guillermo del Toro. Hoping for another six part story book and it would make a great short tv series

This rating and review is for all 6 books. I thought this was an interesting story with plenty of suspense and horror. I thought the book also had a good amount of action. Each book was basically one chapter that could have been put in one book as a complete short story, but it did bring my book count up.
