The first book was so good. Dak struggling to survive against all odds tons of awesome action a witty companion, and amazing character development. The second book was completely the opposite. Literally no action just constant inner thoughts, monologues, pondering on reality... for an entire book. I gave this book a chance because I loved the first one and I hoped it would return to the first books formula. It did not. Literally the part of the book where he goes to war against an entire world he skips the entire thing... don't get me wrong the ideas and philosophy in this book are very thought provoking and interesting but if you started reading this series you were drawn in by the nitty gritty action and struggle of a man trying to survive and I honestly can't understand why the author took such a reversal in the series plot.
