Oh I absolutely love this series. This second book is so full of so much going on that I absolutely couldn’t put it down. I love Morgan B Lee’s writing. This one kept me on the edge of my seat throughout it. Maven is amazing. She is so completely strong and is so caring about the ones she love. The guys are all amazing in different ways. There are bits of humor at times that have me laughing out loud. I especially love it when the guys are talking smack to each other. The story is stunning and imaginative. It definitely pulls you in and doesn’t let go. The ending is absolutely shocking and I absolutely cannot wait to see what happens next.

I finished book 1 and book 2 in the same day. I didn't plan on that. I honestly thought about waiting until the release of the next book to start these, but after seeing so many recommendations I'm glad I read them. 1000% worth it. I do intend to reread them before the 3rd.

Character development is masterful. World building is superlative. Somehow this fantastical universe collided with my own with all it's similarities and differences, almost like trying ice cream for the first time.

Maven is a strong, kickass female lead with depth, some vulnerability, and someone any reader could find something to relate to. Then Crypt, Baelfire, Silas, and Emmett all sneak into readers hearts each in their own way. Their quintet is perfect balance of "touch her and die", good and boys, bleeding hearts, and tortured souls.

Morgan, you're a master of your craft. I really hope you expand in this universe you've created because it lines up with Basgiath and the Night Court as my top fantasy places to visit one day! So well written, woven to give away just enough at all the right moments. Even with this cliffhanger, I can't wait to see where this leads. It was the perfect ending to not be entirely devastating, yet so many possibilities moving forward. The next book I'm sure will take my breath away. I hope you don't rush it all into one book and keep drawing us out. So many series dump too much into the third book, and I really hope you keep us wanting.

I'm really enjoying this series so far. The storyline is good. The characters are likeable and the relationships developing nicely. The steam picked up in this read and more secrets came to light. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I love everything about this series it is just too good. All the best tropes in the best ways, great plot, fun spice. This is the best series I’ve read in a while, I can’t wait for the next book! Fingers crossed we’ll get more Crypt POVs <3

These books have everything! Paranormal creatures, romance, comedy, fun banter between characters, combat, gore and so much more!!! Definitely worth the read!! Not as spicy as I usually like but the story makes up for the lack of spice. And I love that it constantly keeps you guessing!

I found this series looking through KI for my next read, I’m so happy I stumbled onto this new to me author and series.
It reminds me of Hannaford Prep but with monsters/paranormal, it’s a very enjoyable page turner.

Written well, have not read any noticeable errors
Enjoyable, plot, romance, angst, mystery
Monsters with powers again written well
Story has layers and depth
Easy to read and visualize

I’m still loving this series. The characters and plot have me hooked. For whatever reason, this particular book dragged just a bit. Found myself skimming and it took me awhile to finish. That being said, it’s still a solid, entertaining series. I adore when the FMC is the psycho, blood thirsty one.
