My first read from T L Swan and i am wonderfully happy to discover not only a great author but am greatful to have found such an amazing read!
I was somewhat expecting an average read. PLAY ALONG was anything but average. This is how romance should be written, I'm even going to go as far as to say, this would be up there as THE BEST as far as realistic, but oh so super-sexy goes. Other authors including well known in this genre, should take note.
Yeah it may start off with a kidnapping (which i don't mind at all) but the story unfolded into a great relationship and the way the sexy, alpha Mac treated Roch was exactly as i would imagine in real-life.
The way he would pull her in-between his legs as he sat on his stool to protect her from prying eyes. The way he could have taken what he wanted but waited for when Roch was ready, actually in the end she was virtually begging for it, and a girl couldn't blame her! His protective instinct over her, its how a man should be with his woman and the love and protection she showed her man was true-love at its greatest.
Roch and Mac had a buzzing energy, smoking hot chemistry and the back-and-forth banter was pretty damn amusing. Roch's stubborness and take-charge attitude drove Mac insane, but the way he handled her was all man. He would let her have her way, but, give her a little of her own medicine back in the bedroom, where things were extremely and thoroughly "worked out" and Mac was the boss in every way, teaching the little vixen a lesson or two. The way these two couldn't keep their hands off each other was nice...its how two oeople totally attracted to each other should be. But there was actual normal interactions as well, not just sex like a lot of other stories only give you.
Although this story had some of the best enemies-to-lovers chemistry. The story was the unexpected surprise. I loved every bit...there actually wasn't one bit that got boring or a little unrealistic. It was action packed, edge-of-your-seat suspence and you couldn't help but feel for these two.
I loved the start, was glued to the middle and my heart broke but just momentarily at the end, before everything was put back together again and i got my HEA.
I'm really sad to say goodbye to these characters and the story. SWAN did a great job with everything but especially the emotional pull it had on me, i want a man to treat me like a princess out of bed and a cherished wh*#e in it ????
I'm hoping this author writes all her books like this and I'm about to go and find out ????????????
