This book is a quick and easy read. It is a great introduction to the Zodiac Academy. I recommend this book be read first or after the book 1 of Zodiac Academy.

It was interesting enough for a prequel. Not enough detail about the Council of Heirs (are there 4 thrones or just 1 symbolic one). There are 4 rulers but the authors seemed to only be concerned about 1, the father of Darius.

Liked the idea of power Awakening in the Fae and they learn what Order or type of Supernatural being they will become. There were quite a few grammatical errors but it was a pretty decent story. I will be reading more of this series...maybe all my questions will be answered.

This story was great for explaining why Darius is the way he is and how he and Lance became linked together. I wish it had more details about Clara and Lionel's relationship. I also hope they get revenge on both Lionel and Lance's mom.

This was the origins story for Orion and Darius. My heart hurts now.. this is how villains are made.. it makes sense now.

I'm already a fan to this series. This book just pulled me deeper into the Zodiac Academy world. I'm looking forward to advancing into the series.

I read this because it was listed as the first book to read in the series. It was okay and it did some world building so i’m not mad at it, but without knowing more about the characters i don’t think i’d ever come back to this book or recommend it to others unless they were asking me in what order to start this series. i did however like the two characters and im curious to see how their stories progress in the coming books.
