I received a free copy of this book from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily.

Heather rushes to the hospital after call from her nephew that her father is in a health crisis. She chases down Victor in his truck to take her to the home where they find him in extreme pain and get him to the hospital. After his condition is cleared up and health care instructions given, they get ready to sent him home. River, fresh from his recovery experience, shows up to check on everyone. As they all learn to move forward to establish new family bonds, Heather makes the decision to not return to New York and instead learn her grandmothers secrets so she can further help her people in the future.

Ivory weaves a story that is full of love, adventures, spats, and heart tugs but love always wins out in the end to help us move on and hope for a better future for us all.

I enjoyed the story, but feel that it could have been written as one book and not needing to get 6 books to complete the story

With Patrick quitting his New York job & he & Rodney relocating to Orange City Beach, when Heather is offered her job back there is no reason for her to return to New York. When she appears to be considering it Patrick has a serious talk with her. He insists that she understand that the old company does not care about her but only needs her & her talent in the moment. He asks her what she will do when she again falls out of favor & once again loses her job. She realizes that everything she wants & needs is right where she is. All parts of everyone’s life has a satisfactory wrap up & the Epilogue leaves you knowing they have all fulfilled their dreams.

Heather makes the big choice and decides to stay!. Everything and everyone falls into place for her to truly become the person that her iPokni wished for her. Even her friends from NY move near leaving her no reason to leave. Her family becomes one and united! The only thing that bothers me is that it never mentions whether her and Victor marry. They finally declared their love for each other and appear to be in a committed relationship but no mention of the M word. That would have been an extra bonus for me!
I was given an ARC of this book and am also leaving a voluntary review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Coming Home and Finding Peace

Through the trials and tribulation of troubles, being honest with herself and those she loves, along with direct probing questions from Patrick, made Heather realize there was nothing left for her in New York but more heartache. Once River was able to face his ghost from the past, his heart and mind was able to settle, realizing that Sammie was somebody special. Heather finally realizes her real talent is following her heart in making the designs for authentic rugs and blankets. Peace was finally able to conquer all family troubles causing everyone an easier life moving forward. I received this book as an ARC from Ivory Fields and I leave this honest review voluntarily.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great story and characters

An exciting book with a unique story. I loved the characters but my rating a 3 star is because of the atrocious grammatical errors and confusing storytelling at times. It ruins a book for me when errors continue to occur.
