Wonderful story!

Characters and relationships are well developed and narrative is very well written. I thoroughly enjoyed myself immersed in the developing relationship between Riggs and Daphne and couldn't tear myself away from the book. Highly recommended. Props to author L. J. Shen for a very funny and tender, emotional romance.

Oh, the FEELS in this book! ???? L.J. Shen does this perfect mix of banter, humor, and steam in her stories. Riggs and Duffy were so much fun to read.

Riggs is a secret billionaire who lives his life as a playboy photojournalist. Duffy is a high-strung assistant whose work visa is expiring. Duffy blackmails Riggs into marrying her so that she can stay in the country, but Riggs never tells her (or anybody, really) about his money.

They become roommates, get married, and develop a friendship that evolves into love, but due to their trust issues, they don’t act on their feelings.

This was a funny, slow-burn marriage of convenience romance with a surprising amount of emotion, and was the last book in the Cruel Castways trilogy. Each book is a standalone telling the stories of three best friends and how they found their wives.

LJ Shen does it again! I pulled an all nighter with Cold Hearted Casanova! This book has it all!

I am floored by the writing of LJ Shen. She totally incorporates the reader into the storyline and makes each character feel like real honest to goodness people one would actually know! Amazing!

This book concludes a series that I love (Cruel Castaways , two other books prior) and am sad to see end. I know Shen will start a new series with the same passion and quality as this series. Every book Shen writes is gold!

This book, Cold Hearted Casanova’s two main characters stole my heart. Riggs and Daphnie both have flaws but together they meld into a beautiful and unique perfection! The couple bonds in such a delightful and unique manner, that it takes the reader on a journey so well written, one cannot put the book down! Without giving secrets away, I highly recommend this read!

It has love, stubbornness, forgiveness, dreams, living up to expectations, and so much more. It shows the reader the dynamics of how decisions can change the outlook of one’s path.

If you need a bookcation, with love, romance, feel goodness….read this book !

Riggs and Duffy meets The Proposal

Riggs and Duffy were just ????????‍???? ????! What a fantastic story. I bounced between, audiobook, ebook and paperback because I was that addicted to this pair. I knew Riggs was going to be hilarious. I just didn’t expect Duffy to be as funny, and entertaining. A masterpiece!!!! I have yet read a book from LJ Shen that I don’t like. I have no idea where she comes up with the dialogues, but they are amazing. This was the perfect marriage of convenience going wrong. If you love the movies The Proposal, then you must give this book a chance. She is a gold digger, and needs a visa. He needs help with a job assignment, so this is the perfect arrangement. Until things get complicated and now the arrangement doesn’t seem as fitting. The turns and twists I didn’t see coming had me on edge. This was a book I couldn’t put down. Highly recommend you read this phenomenal story!!! You won’t regret it!

I have soo many feelings with this book. It brought them all forward. What can I say L.J. Shen makes the MC'S soo redeemable, so much so that each one holds a special place in my heart.

This book follows Daphne or as her friends call her Duffy through heartbreak & such trials that almost break her down. She thinks she's lost it all, not truly till she falls head first for our Riggs.

Riggs boy ohh boy that man's mouth he's soo sparky has all the comebacks soo quick whitted but when he truly loves he falls hard. It takes him sometime though.
He's never used to living or being in the same place for long, not until Daphne. He's a playboy, & what I love most about this story is that those playboy ways are gone when he meets Duffy. They say opposites attract & it couldn't be truer for this couple.

What forces them together is when Daphne catches her married boss sleeping with our MC. In turn not to run to the press she asks Riggs to marry her so she can obtain her green card. Riggs has his own reasons for wanting the sham of a marriage just to get him out of an assignment. He thinks she's a gold digger wanting to marry her way up on the social latter which couldn't be farther from the truth. Duffy thinks he's a poor playboy (ridiculously good looking) but wants to sleep his way thru all the women in New York with no morals. As they're together he begins to prove her wrong, as she proves him wrong. I love their dynamic. Couldn't get enough of their banter & chemistry. What truly throws the story for a loop is something that no one seen coming. Your gonna have to read to find out the plot twist. I would give this 6 stars if I could. I only wish that there was more. As I couldn't get enough.

L.J. Shen does not disappoint. I'm a huge fan & have read all of her books multiple times if not more. She makes these characters seem soo real as were immersed into their worlds. Thank you L.J. Shen for writing another gem ????
