This rug has great cushion if you're going to be standing for a long time. It doesn't slide, and so far, I've not tripped over the edge. It doesn't curl up like thinner rugs tend to do. I had originally purchased it to go under my rolling chair that is on a hardwood floor. I felt the chair rolled to easy, and I was afraid that it would roll out from under me when I was trying to sit down. Unfortunately, I didn't judge the size of the rug I needed very well, and this one is a bit too small. When I did set the chair on it, it did keep it from rolling though. I will probably order a larger one at some point. Right now, it makes a great place for the dogs to lay and look out the window.
