    They work exactly as they say in their advertisement. These work on paper, plastic, poly bags, ziploc, mylar, cloth, and are very versatile. You want your chips or saltene crackers to not go stale use these. For small or large bags they work for all storage capacities.

    Now they can be used in the kitchen, on the go, in the garage, for your mycology projects, and they are a very durable design. Give them a try you will love them. Yes I know they are not cheap but they will pay themselves off by saving your food from spoiling.

    These work great. I love the way you can just grab the clip stick and not worry about crushing the chip bags.
    The reviews that said these are difficult to put on must not know how to read instructions because they slide right on easily. Sometimes I'll even double fold the bag and it still slides on easily.
    Great product only downside is the price.

    These clips work well. They are easy to use, are reliable and are effective. It would be good if they came in more sizes but the larger ones can be used on smaller bags. Give them a try!

    BOTTOM LINE first:
    PROS: These bag sealers work as expected (and probably better than any standard “clip” solution), creating an airtight seal for any food bag; seem sturdy and durable; and are fairly easy to put on and take off.
    CON: Way too expensive for what they are (so one star off from five); a cheaper alternative exists.

    Picture a rigid plastic straw (a little thinner than one of those old-fashioned candy sticks) with a slit down one side. Fold the open edge of a bag and slide the GRIPSTIC [the “stick”] over the fold through the entire length of the slit—the bag is now sealed, presumably airtight. A yellow “guide”—which is probably the main innovation of this device—makes it easy to thread the stick through the fold. That’s how it works. It is pretty ingenious. It takes maybe 10 seconds to learn how to slide the stick on—the most important thing is to have the slit facing down relative to the fold. The only difficulty is keeping the fold from bunching up ahead of sliding the stick over it but that’s easy enough to do. (Also, if the bag has a flap seam along the back, having the seam on the inside of the fold makes it easier to slide the stick over the fold.)

    Does it work? It seems to. The bags seem airtight sealed all along the fold.

    Is it worth it? Well, it does the job so it’s not just gimmicky junk. But a more reasonable price might be a third of what it’s currently going for on Amazon ($23.95) and I thought someone will undoubtedly knock these off at a cheaper price.

    And it turns out someone has—and at roughly a third of the price, too. Search for “Magic Bag Sealer Stick.” (I have no idea what the quality of that product is but it looks very similar, right down to the yellow “guide.”) If you don’t want to go that route, you can get a pack or two of the 3-count “variety pack” (at $7.95 each) because you might not need a dozen of these things.

    I found these at a home show years ago and suckered for them because my family could never close things up well or work the regular chip clips since the kids were young. These worked well after a learning curve and we constantly use the original set and all of the various sizes. When we were always without the larger sizes and it started to become an issue I thought I would see if they were available anywhere else and found them here. I was also happy to see that they sold a set with only the two largest sizes as that is really what we needed! Overall, these are a great product, they work really well once you learn how to use them, and it is nice that you can pick the sizes you need for your usage!     The varying sizes of GripStic Bag Clips is very useful, from sealing a large bag of chips to a smaller bag of wafer cookies. So far, all the products have remained crispy, crunchy and fresh.
