I was so excited to receive this product because I have a lot of Stanley's but I couldn't even suck out of the straw. The straw first of all didn't line up in a comfortable place to hold the handle and suck out of the straw. Then when the straw was lifted up and you went to drink out of it you couldn't. The smallest amount came out even when you were sucking really hard... sounds dirty I know, but really! I am a nurse injector and give botox to women all day long to avoid those terrible lines you get on your lips, known as smoker lines. The last thing I want to do is suck on a straw like that and have perma smoker lines. But... my friend ordered the exact same ones and hers have worked great! What the heck!?

This product is a true life saver!! I was personally getting more and more drawn to the Simply Modern cups bc they didn’t seem to spill as much but now my Stanley’s are back and ready to use every day again!! I love the ease of the straw, it seals perfectly, no drips, comes in multiple colors but looks great on the cups as well!! Game changer!! Have already sent the link to several friends/colleagues :)

Yes, it’s leakproof with the straw down, which is great for our cat. The groves don’t align correctly, however, and the straw is never not at a 90 degree angle. Do yourself a favor and don’t try aligning it correctly, it will only drive you mad.

These are great lids. They fit on my 40 oz Stanly Cup, BUT the lids don't screw on like your standard Stanly lid does. Meaning that the straw is either right over the handle, or directly across from it, making it "inconvenient" / awkward to drink from. And for some reason, the straw isn't the easiest to drink from. I feel like I have to try harder to get water out than I do with the Stanly branded lid and straw and it also "squeaks" every time you drink from it. I do love that I am able to fold the straw down and it become COMPLETELY spill proof!! I just wish it functions and fit a little better to the cup.

I love my Stanley and I love it even more now that it is spill proof. As a busy mom who's hands are always full, I love that my cup doesn't spill during the hustle of the day!!!

As others have said, the lid won't align properly. It's either facing the handle or 180 degrees out making it awkward to hold and drink. It doesn't leak from the seal when turned upside down but, after you drink, the water doesn't return back to the cup, it stays (full) in the straw/spout so when you go to fold the spout back down, it shoots the water out onto you and anything around you.
