I’ve used this for awhile now and absolutely love it. It boils quite quickly, so making a cup of tea is so easy, somehow it just seems faster than the traditional kettle you put in the stove. In fact, I find that my family uses this much more than we ever did our regular kettle. Cleaning is simple. The top flips open wide enough to fit under the fridge water dispenser, so it fills easily from my fridge for filtered water or the sink. I was concerned initially from reviews of electric kettles shattering, but this has been problem free to date. I’ve even put milk in it, to make hot cocoa bombs, but that did leave marks on the stainless steel bottom for whatever reason. The marks came out with vinegar, so good as new. The only thing I dislike is that the center piece of the top can pop out if you’re tipping kettle too far over trying to empty, but once you k ow this (from having it pop off) it’s easy to avoid happening. It does not have a temperature control like some models, just a simple switch in the handle to turn on and heat water to boiling. The blue ambient light is a cute touch.

Quick boil. Some mineralization noted on the bottom at times, even with filtered water, but easily removed when gently scrubbed with vinegar. Sturdy handle. Takes up minimal counter space and attractive.

No more nuking a cup of tea! I love my tea kettle because it boils fast. It's also entertaining watching the water bubble, lighted by the blue LEDs. I use it for much more than a pot of tea; the pasta water goes into the pan already boiling, so dinner cooks faster. It only took about 3 days to get with the program, using it for nearly everything. And in case you missed it, very fun to watch.

Update: still using this kettle. Weird development is it drips out the base. There's no leaks in the glass - it can go a while without dripping. But then for like a week every use it pours out of the bottom as well as the top. Usually like four or five tablespoons! Still don't understand - has to be condensation getting trapped by the lid or handle somehow. So I'll be replacing it with something else.

We had to finally replace our Hamilton Beach electric kettle after about five years. The lid catch broke, and it wouldn't stop boiling. I was excited about a lid I wouldn't have to open and otherwise the features were similar. What I miss: this one is noticeably slower to boil, and the switch doesn't automatically reset when the kettle is taken off its base. The easy fill is nice but sticks closed more often than not, and the lid doesn't seal tightly so I have to be aware of the steam. It's fine for the price though; it boils the water, and lights up so I know it's working.

All I want is tea that doesn’t take ten minutes for the water to heat up! I feel like I struck it rich with this electric kettle! It takes maybe two minutes tops for the kettle to heat up the water and it’s got a safety feature that turns it off so the house is safe! It looks nice on the counter too with a soft blue glow.

We bought this electric kettle to replace another that made the most obscenely LOUD beeping every time a button was pressed, temperature was reached, or the water carafe was replaced on the base. This unit is wonderfully silent, and it is left to you, the tea- or coffee-making user, to notice when the water is ready.

There is no temperature selection on this machine. It simply heats the water with a pleasing blue light illuminating the carafe until it reaches a rather impressive, furious boil, at which point there is a barely audible 'click' and the light goes out, indicating to the attentive user that the water is ready to use.

The last thing I want to hear first thing in the morning is an annoying electronic 'beep', but this unit is mercifully quiet. Watching the bubbles reach a fever pitch in a soft blue glow is frankly mesmerizing, and the most entertaining thing I can think of in those foggy early moments upon rising for the day.
