This is exactly what I wanted for my desk, to keep my coffee hot while working. Love the fact that it has auto shut-off. This kept my coffee hot for 30 minutes+. Nice design and illuminates nicely, easy to use!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Device Ever!
Reviewed in the United States on October 2, 2019
I am a very slow coffee drinker... (hmm, not very complimentary)
I must love microwaving coffee... (hmm, let's try again)
I like to SAVOR my coffee in the morning! (much better)
And because of this I spend a lot of time reheating it. I like drinking from mugs because you can put them in the dishwasher so I save my insulated cup for travelling. Mugs are fairly bad at keeping heat in.

    Enter coffee mug warmer.
This little device is my favorite purchase in years! There are many things I like about it.
    - First, the more important, it works. Keeps coffee hot! In fact if you cover the top of the mug it can actually reheat coffee from lukewarm to hot. It's powerful.
    - Three temperature settings for versatility. I start on the hottest (red) and find myself dialing it down as the mug empties to maintain perfect temperature.
    - Larger mug surface than most other warmers I have seen
    - Aesthetically there may be more sleek models out there. This one is pretty basic but the touch-sensitive controls are LED, contrast nicely, and lend a modern look to this device. When not in use it blends in nicely with my black desk.
    - 4 hour automatic shutoff is a great thing for empty or forgotten mugs (this is a new feature so some reviews don't mention it)

    Random details:
    - Plate reads at 275F on high, ceramic mug base is 130F, coffee inside at about 120F. The effectiveness will depend on your environment. If you have a desk fan blowing past your mug things won't work out so well.
    - The bottom (desk side) of the unit gets fairly warm but it is not excessive and there is an air gap to the desk. I have a glass desk and it gets mildly warm.
    - Wood desk? I set it on a piece of wood for half an hour and the wood got up to around 130F. This is not "hot" for wood, you can touch it and it just feels warm, but it is also not ideal for furniture. If it was my desk I would probably put it on a large ceramic coaster just to be safe.
    - I feel the need to say this because I keep reading of people putting plastic mugs on these or blocking the vents with cloth oven mits underneath and they wonder why things go wrong. Don't be that person.

No more trips to the microwave for me!

Overall very good. Just started using yesterday. Like the on/off switch and light indicator for heat setting.
Too soon to tell how reliable the unit is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Product - If Used Right - Read on
Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2018
I'm going to skip the part of how nice this item is to have. There are more than enough reviews that attest to that.
This device will do its job, and do it very well. Just keep the following things in mind:

    1. This is NOT a hot plate. If your coffee is cold when you use this, it will be lukewarm at best. It simply helps to maintain the beverage's temperature. BIG difference.

    2. Watch out for those Buttons - They are 'touch-enabled,' so if you are not careful, you may graze your fingers over it and inadvertently either turn it on or turn it off. The former is the bigger problem because there IS NO AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF. You don't want to leave it unattended and left on.

    3. No Beeps - Despite other reviews, mine does not beep when you touch any buttons, so I don't know if the later ones had this beeper thing removed. In any case, I don't have them.

    4. IF YOU USE CREAM IN YOUR COFFEE - By all means, by a set of those stupid-looking, but absolutely essential rubber coffee mug covers [they look like umbrella tops]. If you don't and leave your cup unattended on the warmer, the cream will congeal and the coffee and mug will be gross in no time flat. Those covers keep the moisture in, as well as assist in keeping the coffee warm. You'll get some condensation drips each time you remove them, but a small price to pay.

    5. I find it better to use the highest setting when the cup is full, and then work your way down as you consume your beverage. Else, you will go from a nice warm cup of coffee to a scalding one in no time.

Hope all this helps. Buy this - you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Much better than Mr. Coffee warmer
Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2024
This warmer keeps my coffee much hotter than the Mr. coffee brand. It also has an auto shut off, which the Mr. coffee did not have. I’m very happy with this purchase. My Mr. coffee warmer scratched the first time I put a cup on it. This one, after a week, has no scratches.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lasted 2 year
Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2025
We have had two of these. Both lasted about two years. Then we try to recycle but it’s really a shame that they didn’t last longer. Full disclosure, both were used almost daily and kept coffee warm as long as you have a mug that fits on the base. We prefer a pottery mug, made in the USA. They don’t stain either. And THEY last.
IMHO, they should sell these for less since they sellers know by now they won’t last.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, keeps tea and coffee at the perfect temperature
Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2022
I got this as an office Christmas gift and have used it basically daily for the past year. The warmer keeps either coffee or tea at a perfect temperature for hours. It shuts off after 4 hours, which is a nice safety feature, as well as flashing red when it's still hot once you turn it off.
It's a nice color and the cord is a pretty good length, I keep it on the edge of my desk where I won't accidentally turn it on or off (the touch button is very sensitive).
If you have a cold beverage, it won't necessarily warm it up, unless you give it a long time, but it will keep a hot beverage perfectly hot, and it has 3 settings. If your cup gets to less than half full, on the highest setting it can even get a touch too hot. Since it works via surface area, it definitely works best with flat bottomed mugs, which can be difficult to find. There's a huge difference between the temperature of a mug with a completely flat bottom and a mug with just a small ring that touches the heating element - for those I recommend using a small mug cover on top.
It also works well to melt candles if you want to have a nice scent but avoid soot from actual flame.
