    This is such a versatile little cast iron Dutch oven. I have been wanting a cast ion mortar and pestle and so far the largest one I have found is 16-ounces and I ended up ordering it. The pestle is great -- very heavy and solid and it is very sturdy. However, the mortar doesn't quite measure up -- it seems rather small in comparison to the pestle and it is also considerably lighter in weight than I expected + the sides and base are fairly thin (for cast iron, anyway). I thought this Dutch oven might make a good substitute for the mortar even though it doesn't have the usual rounded bottom. It works perfectly! And the entire construction is very heavy and robust with very thick sides and base. This will be useful for so many other things, too. I like the cute shape and I'll be using it for butter on baking day, for BBQ sauce when grilling and it is excellent for small meals for just one. I like the heavy-duty lid, too; it has a flat top to allow coals to be placed on it if the oven is to be nestled in a campfire and there is a ridge around the inner circumference to help keep it in place, but still allow enough movement so I can actually open it when I want to. The logo and little loop handle has a charming, vintage look, too. Of course, being made of cast iron, this will need occasional seasoning. The price is fantastic, as well. I'm very happy to have found this...

    I know I know, it's just cast iron, but this is brilliant! I just tried it today and I am very pleased! This picture is taken right after cooking and a light cleaning. It is seasoned properly so all the food came right off and also slid right out when loosened from the sides with a knife and turned over. The lid fits nicely, but you must be careful not to tip the pot while cooking with it. I used it in an air fryer to cook a homemade organic key lime cheesecake with homemade crust, but the top does not fit the dimensions of this air fryer so I removed the top and it was great. It does get hot! It's cast iron! Careful with kids around, be a vigilant parent with it, it's temptingly cute for them. It might bubble up, I wouldn't recommend putting liquids too close to the top uncovered (common sense?). Excellent product! Highly recommended!

    Got this for my sons Breeo. Nice size to cook beans or stew over the open fire with a nice wire handle to hang it from. Really nice price for such nice pot.

    I saw a “van lifer” (well, she lived in her Jeep) YouTuber Loui using this DO and I had to have one. It’s fantastic for baking and small one pot dishes. Next I’m going to get the flat bottom 2qt dutch oven ????????
    Edit: I found and purchased a 1.5 quart flat bottom cast iron dutch oven instead of the 2 quart. I think it will suit my solo needs just fine. So far, I’m very happy with it. Between the 2 DO’s I’ve got it covered for now.

    The box it was packaged in really got me excited. It has a beautiful image of cooking on the open fire and made me excited get out and start cooking. It all arrived in great shape. No damage. The quality seems really nice. I was just pleasantly surprised with this order. I managed to get a great deal on this so that just makes it better! So far upon appearance and checking them out, I would recommend but I haven’t got to use them yet.

    I have a Lodge 6 quart Dutch oven that I use. But it is too big at times for what I need to to be.

    I ordered this 2.5 quart Dutch oven and am totally impressed with it. I was a bit concerned it not being a more popular brand. But it has worked amazing.

    I did go ahead and season it at time of purchase and it is totally non stick. So far I have made bread pudding, a loaf of bread, a hot dish and stew. It’s a perfect size for just the two of us.

    Clean up is just wiping it and adding a drop of oil to spread around. Absolutely easy and perfect size for the smaller jobs needing cast iron. This will definitely be another popular piece I own and use. Price is very appropriate.
