Not for carbonated drinks

Product excellent condition, not difficult to install. However carbonated drinks will still leak. The top of my cup fills up with the carbonated liquid even if I don’t fill the cup full, due to the pressure of the carbon gas, and spills everywhere. For non-carbonated beverages, it’s perfect. No leaks. Difficult suction but can be adjusted by not using the under-cap round plug.

These things are absolutely amazing! I recently received a Stanley cup covered in Rhinestones my sister in law made me for my birthday and I absolutely love it. I am also a bit of a clutz (massive understatement) and I tend to knock things over…A LOT. As well as drop things and various other mechanisms of creating messes. So needless to say, the standard Stanley lid wasn’t going to cut it when it came to preventing spills. So I purchased these to make my cup “Katlyn Proof” as my husband likes to say. These things were so easy to install and take off for cleaning, they work absolutely fantastic, and they also prevent debris from getting into the cup as well. Was working with a power sander the other day inside the workshop that didn’t have great ventilation so the dust was EVERYWHERE. I looked like a gram cracker colored snowman by the time I was finished. It was on my tools, phone, cloths, and my cup. When I opened the lid to inspect how much dust had gotten in, I was surprised that not a single speck got in. My drink was still ice cold and dust free. I will be ordering more to keep on hand.

Wasn’t sure these would actually work. They do!!!! After putting them on my Stanley and can hold my Stanley upside down with only a little bit of water coming out of the straw. Awesome solution to spilling Stanley’s!

Prevents leaks

My Stanley would leak when I had it in my work bag so I was having to inconveniently carry it in hand when commuting to/from work. The straw topper and straw holder stopped the leaks so now I can carry it in my work bag without it leaking everywhere! Like other reviewers have said, using the circle lid cover as well does make it difficult to drink out of the straw with the lack of airflow so I don’t use it. If I tip my Stanley upside down when it’s full, then yes, there is a slow drip without that circle lid cover, but I don’t anticipate my Stanley ever being upside down. I got the matching colors to my husband and I’s Stanley’s (orchid and alpine). They aren’t a perfect match but are very close and the difference is hardly noticeable.

Wayyyyy TOO much suction.

Good but I can't stand the round bottom plug.
It creates a strong suction and by the time you get enough water to even drink you're pretty much out of breath. All the water raises in the cup then drops so it makes this really weird sound every time you even take a sip. I never knew drinking from a straw would be a hassle lol. I even poked a hole with a nail in the middle to see if that would help & it made no difference. I bought it mainly for the straw topper anyways so I just don't use the round plug and it still stops 99% leaking.
Another thing is the straw plug has a huge "2" on it & it was a pain to squeeze on.
