This product looks nice on a counter. It is not overly big. The quickness of the heating makes it easy for entertaining. We use this product at church as it heats quickly. Easier than boiling water on the range

Over the years, I've owned a Presto electric kettle and never changed it because it did its work. However, I realized it was time to change for a better one, it was not lasting and the cord and base had issues. The differences were mainly materials used, ease of cleaning, and longevity. The kettle's design is very attractive, I love the LED light and how you can see the water boiling. Easy to operate and heats the water quickly and it has a convenient automatic shutoff, which my presto did not have. I already descale it with vinegar and it was clean as new.
To replace it, I searched quite a bit, checking out new designs and features and was drawn to this Krups kettle. In no time, I realized I'd made an excellent choice. I recommend it!

We've only had this water kettle a few months but so far we love it! It's easy to use and the display works great and it has a nice sleek modern design that doesn't take up a lot of space. Would buy again!

This kettle quickly became my go-to for brewing tea and making instant coffee. The design is sleek, and the 1.7L capacity is perfect for daily use. It heats water quickly and efficiently, saving me time, especially during busy mornings. The smart temperature control feature is a big plus, allowing me to choose the perfect temperature for different types of tea, whether it’s green tea, black tea, or even herbal blends. The stainless steel interior gives me peace of mind that no plastic is coming into contact with the boiling water.

Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t without a hitch. After about six months of regular use, the kettle suddenly stopped working. It was disappointing, especially since I had grown to rely on it for my daily routine. However, I must commend the manufacturer’s warranty service. They were responsive and processed my repair request, though it did take about 3-4 weeks to get it back. During that time, I had to purchase a different kettle, which was a bit inconvenient.

Despite this issue, I still have a lot of love for this device. Once I got it back, it was just as good as new. The boil-dry protection is a handy feature that has saved me on a few occasions when I accidentally left it on without enough water. I also appreciate how easy it is to clean, with the wide mouth allowing me to reach in and scrub it out thoroughly when needed.

Aside from making tea and coffee, I’ve found this kettle useful for other tasks too. It’s great for quickly heating water for cooking, like when I need to blanch vegetables or make instant noodles. The quick heating time is a real time-saver in the kitchen, and the ergonomic handle makes pouring comfortable and spill-free.

Overall, despite the hiccup with its durability, this electric kettle is a solid choice. It does its job well, and the temperature control options make it versatile for various uses. If you’re looking for a reliable kettle and don’t mind the possibility of a repair down the line, I’d recommend giving this one a try.

I got this to replace my Cuisinart electric kettle that also had various temp settings to boil the perfect cup of tea. The cuisiart died after 10 y or so; the lid no longer opened. The buttons had worn off but it still heated. Besides looking more elegant, this seems to heat faster and I don’t accidentally burn my knuckles by touching th carafe. I also like the digital T. If I boiled water and forgot about it, you can check the temp to know if you need to boil again, or if the water T is still fine.

I live in area with well water, so I’ve only put purified water in the kettle (couple times spring water. I bought it Nov 2021 and I have yet to descale it (6/2023). Looks brand new. Use multiple times per day.

I wish it were available in a sleek white; almost didn’t get it since it didn’t exactly match but I’m glad I did.

Easier to keep the outside clean than cuisinart too.

One quibble: to me, neither the cuisinart or this are truly cordless. The kettle sits on a base; the base has short cord to plug in to outlet. Once water heated, the kettle is lifted from the disc (the disc has the cord), and you can carry to table or wherever without the cord. I think this technicality is important bc you really can’t take it camping unless you have electric. Seems like there could be rechargeable kettles like charge once a week or something.

One other thing that could be better is if you could see the water level from outside the kettle. That feature present on cuisinart, but not a deal breaker for me. This is a much superior electric kettle that I had been waiting for, for years. The price has come down a lot since 11/2021 too so it’s a steal now.

8/2024 still in perfect condition. Using filtered water, I’ve never had to descale it. Fast. The fact that I can’t see the water level through the pot bothers me less as the minimum water is just less than 2 mugs of tea, and the almost full makes a quart.

I've had 4-5 sunbeam hot shots over the past 40 years. My last one recently died, & I couldn't find one anywhere, so I purchased this kettle. There are several pluses; it holds a lot more water, the water gets much hotter, and I don't have to fill a separate cup several times to fill the cup I'm drinking from. Now that I'm used to it, I love this electric kettle!

I wanted a electric kettle that didnt have plastic parts inside or in the spout. Incredibly hard to find. Every kettle came close but would have some plastic part like the spout or the lid.

This one seems to be all steel inside including spout. Easy to set up and use
