A good old basic ice cube bin. Traditional ice cube trays empty into it well. Replaces a smaller bin; this one is good for the two of us. We have 3 trays, but because they are smaller sized cubes than they used to be, I'm certain it would probably hold up to 5.

Pretty sturdy. I think it will last a long time, the one we got with the fridge was kind of cheap. It had a few holes in it and seemed kind of brittle

My wonderful refrigerator with an ice-maker broke down about a month ago and the management replaced it with a smaller (how could it BE smaller?) refrigerator without an ice-maker. I've had ice-makers for over 25 years, in my home and now in my apartment the last 8 ears. What a miserable inconvenience not to have an ice-maker anymore. The refrigerator being smaller, naturally has a smaller freezer compartment into which I can fit very little (I'm so glad that I have my own upright freezer!), and I can fit very little in there because of its height and shelf size. Luckily, this fits in, just about right. Now I can make cubes and store them up. The only thing that I would change on this is to have one side of it lower than the other side, as are the pans in the freezers with ice-makers, so that it's easier to get to the cubes. It's not a big deal though. This works, and is clean and the right size.

Wish it were a bit wider. Got an ice machine and it's not stored in freezer mode. So I make enough of ice to fill it, till next make. Serves me well.
