    I bought these bowls during prime day and omg, making sourdough has been much easier. I can measure out my ingredients in bulk using the different sizes and I can easily make a double or triple batch of sourdough in them. Want to make egg salad instead? Not a problem! I hand-wash and dry these bowls with no problems. They nest together which makes it easy to store, and unlike other metal bowls the rims are straight, not bent in, so there's no water retention and no risk of rust. They're also light, yet sturdy, so if you have problems with heavy items you won't have a problem with these.

    These are roughly the same quality mixing bowl as you're going to find being used on the line in a professional kitchen, or in any restaurant supply store in America. They're not what you're going to get at Williams Sonoma or Sur La Table, but they are also 1/4 (or less) the price of what you will pay for high-end bowls at one of those places. Really, though, what do you need a mixing bowl to do?

    They are very thin walled, yes. That's what makes them light. You can have thick stainless steel, or you can have light bowls. You can't really have both. The light weight makes them easier to hold while mixing, which is nice. And if you drop one and dent it, they're cheaply replaced.

    If you don't have any mixing bowls at all, and are putting together a new set, I'd recommend the six piece instead of the five. The largest bowl in the five piece set is not terribly big. Especially if you're into baking bread.

    These are not going to be the showpiece of your kitchen, but people who actually cook regularly, and aren't just looking to impress friends with their fancy kitchen stuff, will appreciate these for what they are. But don't expect to be blown away by them. They are simple, inexpensive mixing bowls. But they do everything you need a mixing bowl to do. They're fine.
