Easy to use, delicate, some bending if not careful. Only strong enough for watermelon.

The cutter bent immediately upon trying to cut my watermelon. The watermelon wasn't hard or anything, it was the perfect density and the cutter couldn't handle it. The cutter also should be a little wider in my opinion to make the cutting process faster. But the biggest issue is that the metal is so weak/thin that it can't perform the exact task it's meant for without bending.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very good tool

This tool is great. It very efficiently cut up the inside of the watermelon into neat cubes. I couldn't give five stars however, because it could be a bit more sturdy as it bent a little out of shape as I was using it.

It is a fork with a rectangle shape on the end. It is not heavy duty but is built to cut thru watermelon.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Idea. Sort of works
Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2024
First, this is a great idea. I had high hopes. And it does work well under ideal circumstances. However, not all watermelons are ideal and perfectly ripe from rind edge to edge. Usually the area of watermelon near the rind is tougher than the exact middle, and you would expect a tool of this sort to be able to handle cutting the fruit to somewhere at least close to the rind itself, otherwise why bother with a tool like this, just use a knife and be done with it so you don't lose part of your watermelon. Unfortunately, this tool is made of such lightweight metal that with anything other than lightweight pressure and a super ripe watermelon, it bends. The fruit is stronger than this metal. Most forks and spoons are stronger than this metal. So the idea is great, but the execution needs some work. I'd love it if it were made of a stronger metal that wouldn't bend. Also, it would be great if it could also be used with other melons (think cantaloupe, honeydew, etc) during different seasons of the year (this version couldn't).

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap piece of junk

This item was made so cheaply it bent within the first inch of the watermelon. The shipping price wasn’t shown until checkout and was double the price of the item. I can believe a company like Amazon had a ripoff item like this as a pop up when you’re searching for something else. If it wasn’t for how much I paid for shipping I would return the item. I will never buy anything that pops up as a deal on Amazon in the future since I don’t trust that Amazon has any screening for scam items. I gave the product 1 star because I couldn’t give it 0 stars. Stay far away from this product and seller

2.0 out of 5 stars Does it really work? Not really
Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2024
It does not cut or perform as the video shows. It does cut but not with the precision demonstrated in the video. We'll keep it and try to make it work. It was only$10.00 so we'll figure out a way to make it better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality cutter

It’s quite sharp and should make it easy to carve out the watermelon or any other fruit like it and I’m sure it can handle many more tasks I have not figured out yet. It is a solid and sturdy piece and therefore should last forever if properly taken care off. I would say it’s a good value for my money. It’s easy to grip, but if for any reason you happen to be someone with slippery hands, I would just wrap some athletic tape around the handle to give you a better grip even. It definitely eliminates the messiness you usually experience with carving a melon, since you don’t have to cut everything in slices first. So far I’m quite confident it will continue to perform great if properly taken care of. It’s absolutely perfect for the personal size melons I usually purchase. If you have a really large melon, I don’t know the answer, but even in that case it should be large enough to cut the sizable junks.
