PREVENT FREEZER BURN: Silicone lid tightly seals around the lip of the plastic tub, sealing out air that leads to freezer burn. Keep the moisture inside the tub with the tight seal. Silicone provides light insulation to keep your ice cream, gelato, sorbet, or other frozen foods as fresh as possible. The tight lid also minimizes flavor loss for rich, delicious ice cream.
REMOVE LID EASILY: Flexible silicone makes it easy to peel back the lid from frozen ice cream. Lid will not become stiff or brittle in the cold like plastic can, making it simple to access your frozen treat as soon as you want to. When you’re finished, the silicone lid can be replaced quickly as the flexible material slides easily over the lip instead of fitting exactly into a track.

Perfect size, great material, just what I needed. I’m buying a second one! I eat a plant based diet and make “nice cream” with frozen bananas. It comes out like soft serve in my blender, but freezing it in a container takes it to the next level. My current favorite is banana, passion fruit, soymilk, and a few dates. Unreal sweet tart delicious. I make many favors and with 2 tubs I can have a tart fruity and chocolatey sweet on tap hehe. The size is great too because it holds enough but doesn’t take up too much space in my small freezer. Thanks so much

Very good quality and durable, the colors are pretty.
The lid is easy to open and close even just out of the freezer.
The bottom of the container is properly imprinted with the company name which shows Tovolo claims its responsibility.
The only issue is that the price is super expensive.

I purchased this to make homemade ice cream. What a neat container! It's thick-ish plastic with a silicone lid. The lid is great because it really seals in the flavor and seals out any odors or moisture. It's dishwasher safe. What I really like about them is that they come in great colors and they are stackable. Great find at a great price.

I hate plastic. These are the only plastic items in my kitchen apart from my Pyrex lids.
However, they are bpa free and I haven’t found anything else for my homemade icecream that is as functional as these.

I love the Tovolo multi colored silicone lids for icecream identification.
The tub itself is matte finish on the outside and smooth and shiny on the inside making scooping easier.

Be aware when purchasing that Tovolo also make six oz tubs as well as the 1qt and they look identical in the photos, so read the descriptions carefully to get the right size.
I may get some 6oz ones too with the same colored lids, for any excess as sometimes the 1qt isn’t quite large enough especially if I have added fruit.
Otherwise, I may get some of the 2.5qt long tubs also by Tovolo.

I am very pleased with these cute icecream tubs. Unfortunately it makes me want to make more icecream and someone then has to eat it so perhaps the tubs should come with a cholesterol warning lol.
I do want to try making some healthier versions but then, life is short and the summers are long in Arizona, and there are so many icecream flavors yet to explore!
Peach passionfruit is up next....
You won’t regret buying these tubs but you might want to buy bigger pants at the same time :)

Great for many items but especially nice for homemade ice cream. Top is not tight so make sure it stays upright.

Your ice-cream will always be fresh stored in this wonderfully designed container, without any of the ice crystals that form inside most store bought ice-cream containers after a while. A real great product. If I could give 100 stars, I would.
