After going through 3 magic bullet/nutri bullets over the course of 2 years, we decided to buy this simple blender for making smoothies. We have had it now for at least a year or more, still going strong and does a great job blending. We also had a couple of bigger, more expensive blenders that I ended up giving away because we solely use this one now. Works great and super easy to clean.

I’m writing this over a year after purchasing this blender so hopefully it can help someone who like me had a hard time choosing between all the options & discerning between people’s reviews that love or hate the same item!
I’ve used this blender every day for a year, many days twice a day and I like what I blend to be super smooth and I also adjust ingredients as I go , so in the sense of length of time blending it’s not just a few seconds of blending it’s more like a few minutes in a few segments and so I have a basis to say that this cheaper item holds up well and blends excellently . I give grace to this thing and don’t push it beyond what it’s priced at so I don’t blend with ice but I do use frozen fruit sometimes and I am gentle with it in the sense that chop up veggies or lightly boil to soften them first and I get great results , I make nut milk and it blends the nuts nicely but I do soak them for a while first and Ive rarely gotten that bunt metal smell that some blenders give of when they over heat. I’ve had no issue at all with the motor or power for a year of heavy blending . It’s easy to clean , some liquid seeps behind the glass and it comes out easily and doesn’t affect its functioning . The glass is great quality , it’s heavy and can withstand when I use boiling hot water or ingredients at times . The only issue I had was with the initial one I bought and returned because I thought it was a defect but second one had the same issue as well and so I just kept it.the issue is that the plastic cover does not stay sealed onto the glass, I have to hold it down if my blender is full . It’s not a big deal and stays sealed tightly when I hold it , it’s a small trade off for a very good blender at a great price and better to have to hold it than the other issue of it getting stuck and being hard to remove The cord is long enough unlike some other blenders I’ve had . The noise is annoying like most blenders but isn’t any worse .
At this point if this one gave out I would feel like I got my moneys worth and buy the same one again.

So far: I’ve had this for less than a week and have figured out all the quirks others have mentioned that brought their star score down. The lid: people say the lid doesn’t stay on - watch the videos. Of course the lid won’t stay down if you don’t secure it! I find it trickier to get off. You have to push down firmly and it doesn’t go anywhere. The loose black tap on the lid: While it doesn’t “click” into place, it does stay closed. This is where you add extra ingredients as you blend, not the clear pour spout. Grinding the ice: the first couple of times I used this to make frappuccinos, the mixture/ice seemed to get stuck and I add to take the lid off and adjust it. I started to get sad about this investment. Today, I add 5-6 ice cubes at time and blended until I felt they were well chopped and I had no problem with ice getting stuck. THIS is what that black flap is for! Now that I’ve worked all that out, I look forward to using this blender for many more things. I have not cleaned the parts in the dishwasher as I use it every day so I clean it every day. I can’t say I would trust a dishwasher with ANY blender parts, but I am happy to say it is easy to take apart and clean by hand. I love the power cord cubby. It’s not retractable, but goes in and out easily enough. I love that the main part is glass. This was one of the biggest selling points for me. Lastly, some have complained about it being loud. It’s a blender. It’s going to be loud. Overall, I highly recommend!

I love this blender and use it like 4-6 times a week. After the initial breaking in phase, you can run it continuously for a while without causing the burning motor oil smell. The glass jar is very sturdy and it's heat resistant which is great for making gravies and stews and stuff. It also comes apart in a very easy way so that cleaning isn't difficult.

This is a nice heavy duty blender - but a bit too much for my simple cooking tasks.

As others have commented, the cover is an issue. It is hard to secure - and once secured, difficult to remove.

Also some effort is required to clean. For example, butter at the bottom - and also particles of food get stuck in a tiny space between the blades and the glass edge of the blender.

If you have a need for a heavy duty blender and don't mind some extra effort, this blender would work for you. But for something simple, like pureeing pasta sauce - I would go for something smaller. So I returned this and will purchase something a bit more practical for my purposes.

The blender is a great value. My only complaint is that the lid is very difficult to remove. It hurts my fingers I have to pull up on it so hard and I'm always worried it will fly off and anything in the blender will spill out. Please make an easier to remove lid then this would be the perfect blender
