5.0 out of 5 stars Great!

This is a nice electric kettle that is a step up from the cheap ones that break ever year or 2 but nothing crazy expensive like other brands. Overall I really am enjoying the functions and features that aren't overly complicated but aren't super necessary for great use either. It blends modern with timeless. The heating on it is very nice, the speed is perfect, and it's not too loud but has a beeper that is perfect for letting you know when it's done boiling from the other room. It does leak a little from the top of you try putting too quick since it has the ability to pour at a continuous even flow no matter how much you try to speed it up. Is very durable and I would recommend.

a piece of art

Of course like most of us, we did have an electric kettle
We actually had a few as they do not seem to last long
They take forever to come to boiling temperature and are bud ugly
Rather an embarrassment to use when you have visit

Then came this piece of art
Something that could belong in a museum instead of a kitchen table
We are no strangers to Greater Goods as by far THE best pots and pans set we ever owned is from the same brand

Let's start with some critique:
Although this might be able to win an award it is a shame that it does not come in more color options
Their pot & pan set came in salmon color but this kettle came in only black or white

That kettle heats up Super Fast!!!!
The display clearly shows the current temperature and setpoint temperature (a plus point for safety as well)
Pouring is a breeze as the kettle is perfectly balanced
The materials "scream" quality

Just plain gorgeous and practical

5.0 out of 5 stars Been 4 ish months

Likes: goose neck, weight, quietness, hold temp feature, pretty quick to reach temp, adjustable temp simply by turning the knob, clean minimalist design, pretty sturdy, the lid knob stays cool (don’t go grabbing the rest of the lid and think it will be cool, obviously not), the little booklet with some quick tips, company story (hope it’s true to brand)

Dislikes: still has some lingering smell of plastic heating up although I have no idea where this plastic can be. Maybe it’s color on the kettle?

Will update review in another few months! Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Powerful and Multifunctional, but has a sticking point or two

Overall, this kettle has been a game changer for making coffee. It's impeccably useful for controlling the flow rate when pouring a v60. By holding the button, you can start a timer that gives you a "3-2-1" countdown before becoming a stopwatch. It has a lot of tiny design features that puts it as a high quality budget option for a temp-controlled gooseneck kettle. Heating is relatively fast and if you can't prep your coffee bed before it finishes, the kettle has a hold mode. The aesthetic of a single dial, single button kettle holds it's own. It's minimalist, sleek, and not frustrating to use nor set up.

The kettle has some downsides for me, though. For context, my kettle is set to hold for 10 minutes right now. Say, I set it to a boil at 100°C. After that, I use the fresh off the boil water to preheat a device. Then I set the kettle to go down to 93°C. The kettle will beep and say it's at 93°C, rather than show you the temperature of the water inside the kettle, which is probably still at 100°C. Visually, it sometimes won't differentiate between the goal temperature and the current temperature, even though it definitely has that capability.

Another little sticking point, every time you unplug the kettle base, you have to redo the settings. It's not too hard to do, but it's still worth mentioning. Thankfully, there aren't so many settings that it would force me to keep a dedicated outlet, (Just 3, hold mode duration, toggle beep, unit F or C), but the settings menu is probably the worst part of the UI. Like, if everything else was a 9 out of 10, the settings menu is an 8 out of 10. It's simplistic and well designed, but just slightly less satisfying to use.
