5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Awesome starter instrument

I got this because I wanted to learn to play an instrument and a bass that only has half as many strings sounded easy.
Instructions where easy and I only needed wood glue, clamps to hold it together while it dried a hammer and a screw driver. I did not need any special tools or anything.
Putting it together was very fun. Took me 3 days to do so because I wanted the glue to dry before doing the next step. I was pretty proud of myself when I was done.
I painted it before attaching the shiny parts and it looked great. I like how it is coming out so far.
I am in the process of adding frets to it. It is more complicated than I thought. But I know I will spend many hours playing it.
It is so easy to pick up that on the first night, I could play the chorus of seven nation army pretty well.
NOTE: I recommend you get C. B.Gitty’s fretted 2 string bass over the non fretted.
I will be looking at other stuff he has in the future.
