I took this keyboard on vacation so I could practice my orchestra music. The keys and sound are soooo professional. And the price is unbelievable for all the technology that’s included! I love it!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars 88 keys and portable for $150 or so... and that's enough

I bought this as a travel practice piano, and at that it excels on all fronts. It has 88 keys, folds in half, is light, has a carrying case, and is more or less touch sensitive. Now make no mistake, these keys feel terrible and the thing sounds like a toy... which it could very well be for some buyers... but what can you expect for $150? It will do until something more serious comes along, and I am convinced that it will in a few years. It sounds much better if you attach it to an amp/speaker system.

One caveat: the ad touts that it has bluetooth, which I assumed meant that you could attach it to BT speakers or head phones. Nope. You can use the piano as bluetooth speakers. I guess that makes a sort of sense, since the display and controls are minimal, and there is no good way to select a BT output device to link to. There may be a way to do it that I haven't found yet, but the documentation is minimal and was no help.

The fold-up hinge seems solid, and yes, you can put it on a piano stand after it's unfolded without it suddenly folding up on you.

I am a classical pianist, so I want the keyboard to feel as close to an acoustical grand piano as possible. This doesn't. It's unsettling how the spring loaded keys follow your fingers back up as you play, but you can get used to it. The keys are not weighted, of course, and it would be much less portable if they were.

I also want to hear accoustical instrument sounds from my digital pianos, and the many instruments you can select on this keyboard ALL sound as digital AF. Honestly they all sound pretty similar. But for a portable practice piano, I'm happy that it makes any sound at all. I have not tried using it as a MIDI instrument attached to a PC and using a sampled VSTI piano to get a natural sound, but theoretically that should work. Will try it on my next long trip.

Eh, it is what it is, and it's better than toting my decade-old metal-bodied digital piano with the fully weighted keys, which weighs a ton. For what it is, it's a great buy at $150.

We didn't need anything expensive. We just needed a full-size 88-key keyboard at home for my young daughter to practice at home between her piano lessons. We've had no issues with quality and the semi-weighted keys work well. We also love the foldability for easy storage, and use the provided bag for easy portability.

This company has some of the best customer service and warranty departments I have ever dealt with. The keyboard I ordered arrived damaged, and they promptly sent me a replacement. They were very responsive and courteous. The replacement keyboard I received is a quality product and an awesome instrument.

To make a long story short, I lost my electronic piano in a tornado in 2021. After moving into our new home, I thought I could do without a keyboard, but I was wrong. So I started looking for something that would fit in a small space as I had not planned to purchase a new piano. I saw the demonstrations for this foldable piano and was so excited to find something that could be folded and stored in a small place. It works beautifully! It is simple to open and close, the sound quality is just fine, and it has many tones and a metronome built-in. I am so pleased I found this keyboard at the price I paid. Absolutely worth every penny!

4.0 out of 5 stars TRAVEL PRACTICE!

In my opinion the only real use of a fold away piano is to practice whilst you are traveling. My middle child is the pianist in our house and music practice is a daily occurrence. So far when we travel at the weekends he has to skip practice whilst my other kids can take their instruments with us (violin and voice). So, I wanted to find something of a reasonable size (to fit in the car with our other luggage) that would work for him.
The main consideration was key size. The white keys on this keyboard are the same width as our Yamaha digital piano. The white keys overall are a little shorter, however the distance from the edge of the white key to the start of the black key is the same as the Yamaha. This was really the crucial since so much of piano playing is muscle memory for the fingers. Had these measurements been off I would have returned the keyboard. But thankfully all good.

Next up, the feel of the keys. There is really no way that anyone can justify these keys as weighted. They just aren’t. The key surface has a texture to it but they are somehow slippy compared to the smooth surfaces of the Yamaha keys.

Next, sound. It comes out of the left hand side of the keyboard. It’s a small speaker. At high volume it is unpleasant. At a lower volume it’s fine. Does it sound like a real piano? Of course not! The volume randomly modulates up and down a bit so I do not expect my child to be able to adequately practice dynamics using this keyboard.

Extra features: There are a tonne of voices. It’s fun for a kid but completely unnecessary and probably a total waste of resources. Same for the percussion rhythms. The metronome is a little clunky to operate and limited in its setting. TBH, it’s a feature that isn’t needed since any musician is likely to have a decent metronome on their phone/ipad. It comes with plug-in headphones which is a nice thought since so many people now have wireless headphones. I didn’t test the sustain pedal but I know will be useful to have as a practice tool for coordinating foot movement with hand movement….how it sounds doesn’t really matter.

Size: surprisingly compact. The photo is set with a standard letter size book for comparison. It is about the same size as a 4/4 violin case. I wish the case were more padded or had hard-sides. I will be keeping the shipping box to place the bag into when we pack the car.

Overall, it will work perfectly for travel practice. It will never be used as performance keyboard…it simply doesn’t have the sound quality, key texture, or key responsiveness for that. Perhaps if they stripped the unnecessary features they could improve the speaker a little and keep it at the same price point, that would be a good improvement to make. And as mentioned above a hard sided or more padded bag should be included since travel is one of the main selling features.

I would NOT recommend this as a keyboard for someone to learn on where it will serve as their only piano. I would NOT recommend this for someone looking for a performance keyboard. BUT if you want your kids (or yourself) to practice whilst you’re away from home it’s a winner!

I bought this so that I could practice my piano lessons on the go. I’ve used it about 5 times so far. It works great for my needs. And I’m getting in some extra practice time as well. Very nicely folds and unfolds. Great sound and the extra functionality is nice as well.
