This is fantastic and not just for beginners. We purchased a different ukulele for my daughter to learn in. I play guitar and bass and been playing for almost 30 years. The old ukulele I am calling now a decoration. This new one feels and plays great! It is longer than the common soprano ukulele and much lower action so it is very easy to play. Generally, inexpensive guitars including acoustics, electrics, ukuleles, there are usually sharp edges on the frets that will scratch fingers as you slide up and down the neck and change chords. These frets are very tight and smooth and you do not have that problem. The finish is fantastic and the overall tone is very good as well. It even comes with a quality case that is lightly padded but much better then other beginner ukuleles and guitars which are pointless and very thin. Thins also comes with a nice strap that can be securely fastened to the ukulele so no need to worry about it popping off. This purchase was much much better than I expected and am so excited for my daughter and she was smiling ear to ear with how much more fun playing is. Not to mention her favorite color. ;). Cheers!
