About this item

SPEAKER ON A GUITAR - The FEATURE of the entire NEXG line is the onboard speaker. This NEXG SE is no exception to that. We deeply believe that a speaker inside can make it sound way better than normal acoustic guitars. The bass is full, the mid is rich and the treble is sparkling. It’s 30W, but considerably LOUDER. That dynamic range is insane, compared to wood guitars. If you finally got one, strum a big open E chord, and let it ring. You can literally feel the sound vibrating in your hand.
THE DSP - There’s a DSP chip inside. It allows you to store 4 onboard presets, with full expandability through the ENYA MUSIC App. You can dial your own settings for the overdrive, wah, delay, reverb, chorus, vibrato, octave, compression, EQ…the list goes on. Those effects are what would beats traditional wood acoustic guitars, eventually. Besides, you can profile the tone of any acoustic guitar onto the NEXG SE. The DSP also provide bluetooth connectivity, so you can use a wireless speaker.
SING & PLAY ANYWHERE - This acoustic electric guitar comes with a wireless headset mic, which is perfect for singing & playing. There are separate EQ and reverb settings for the mic in the App. The singing experience is drastically enhanced by the mic system. Singing with a mic and speaker just beats singing with only vocal and a guitar, with all those intricate details of your voice amplified. It just brings out another persona of ourselves. FYI, it can also do vocal removal.
COLOR SCHEME - Brand new color palette is introduced to the NEXG SE range. The bright color hue and the Morandi-style saturation really brings, to this acoustic electric travel guitarra, vibrant energy with a sophisticated feel attached to it. There are 4 colors available in total: pink, purple, green and grey, which are all stunningly beautiful. Think about all those beautiful Instagram posts you can have with these colorful guitars.
THE PACKAGING - The accessories only come with the absolute essentials: thickened gig bag, wireless headset mic, charging cable and adjusting wrench. But we offer more: charging stand, wireless microphone, monitor earphone, which can be all purchased separately, according to your own needs. These accessaries would unlock the full potential of this guitar across multiple scenarios: gigging, busking, recording, practicing, chilling… the list goes on and on.

5.0 out of 5 stars I am so freaking impressed with my new ENYA NEXG SE it's nothing short of awesome.

Awesome, just awesome
I got my Enya NEXG SE today and it blows me away and I am so freaking impressed with it. I have no idea how I’m going to be able to make my review short, but I really want to try to convey as much information that is hard to find in most reviews or on YouTube. FIRST, I have ZERO affiliation with Enya, zero, I’m actually a Civil Engineer by trade. So, if you think this is an over-the-top fake review, I can absolutely assure you that it is not.
I am so freaking happy with my new NEXG SE, so much so that my wife says that she thinks I’m now emotionally involved with it lol. I may even name it, take it on long walks by ocean, sit under a star filled wilderness sky and start attending yoga classes together.
In the shipping box you get a very nice soft-shell bag. The bag has a lot of padding and is of high quality. It reminds me of that tearless military nylon material. Enya designed the packaging in such a way that it keeps it secure and fully protected.
First thing I’d like to point out: The listing describes it as a travel guitar, sure it’s shorter and thinner than a traditional acoustic guitar and will fit in an overhead compartment on the airplane. But in my opinion, it’s a full-fledged play it all the time guitar that travels well. It has a strong amplifier so when you power it on and play the sound is huge and will seriously impress you. The Tuner even Beeps when your string is in tune The guitar can also be very loud way louder than any acoustic that I have ever played. I feel that the sound from the guitar would easily fill a room with the guitar or just streaming music through it. The bass port is up against your belly, so it even has resonance like the traditional guitar that you can feel.
So many things tell me the guitar is of high quality. For so many reasons I feel like there was an emphasis and thoughtfulness that hyper focused on the player in throughout the designing process. I know that sounds cheesy but I really mean it. It probably comes from my engineering background, where the smallest details can make or break a billion-dollar project. The guitar has real weight to it and lends to the feeling of a guitar costing in the thousands. It’s made from carbon fiber and is seamless and feels like a normal electric guitar when you hold and play it. The finish on the guitar is flawless, I’m not sure what the painting process is to get a blemish free finish, whatever it is, it works. The neck comes far enough into the body that you can easily play the uppermost frets. I was impressed with the quality of the fret- work and fretboard with rounded frets.
The guitar has worked well right out of the box and seems to have been set up properly at the factory. The location of the electronics panel is easy to see. The top bar fits perfectly and doesn’t even look like it’s a removable piece and is super easy to install and remove. Honestly it feels no different than any other guitar other that its volume knob is easier to get to. There is a cool ENYA light on the front of the guitar that pulsates (there are light options that are adjustable in the app) that tells you when your guitar is powered on. The guitar even had ¾ of a charge when it came so I could play it right out of the box.
You even get a wireless mic that you can sing with effects added right through the guitar speakers They include a very nice wall wart and right-angle cable to charge with. The Allan key for adjusting the truss rod has rubber on the long end so it doesn’t dig into your fingers. There is a rubber strip on the bottom of the body so the guitar wont slide of your leg while playing it. One of the speakers is an actual subwoofer that creates the full body sound. In my opinion it sounds as good as any nice acoustic if not better, because you can customize the audio to your hearts delight.
The app easy to install and use. Example, there is bank of stomp box effects pedals (not cheesy lite versions) that are completely customizable and the changes you make are immediately sent to the guitar via Bluetooth. The app includes a drum machine with enough rhythm tracks to create a song with. There is a center cancelling feature so you can sing along with a backing track that’s played through the guitar’s speakers all the while playing guitar at the same time.
I plugged the guitar direct to my DAW and it worked flawlessly. I played through a traditional Black Star amp and went heavy metal nuts with it. This morning I recorded me playing into my iPhone and via Bluetooth, I played it back through my guitar and jammed with it. The app has a mixer so you can adjust the levels on the drums, the Bluetooth audio, the microphone, the line in and the guitar levels that you hear in real time. The natural sound of the guitar is gorgeous even on the acoustic setting without any effects. I’m telling you that the sound of the guitar will impress the heck out of you. It’s especially nice that you can play through a set of headphones with or without effects.

My Conclusion: If you’re looking for a cool new silent guitar with effects, I highly recommend one of Enya NEXG guitars because mine has completely blown away all of my expectations, and then some.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable size, big sound

I love the sound of an acoustic dreadnought guitar. But sore, aging joints and limited fingering reach on already smallish hands make playing one painful and difficult. The Enya, with it's top bar and moderate size allow me to wrap around the instrument with comfort. I've used 3/4 guitars and larger, but none compare to this Enya for its deep tones and resonance. Its speakers are both bright and deep. It plays with pleasing resonance even at low volumes. At high volumes, it surpasses my dreadnoughts without distortion.

But what I best like is the comfort of play, and while it's a bit heavy if standing, I play mostly sitting down, and it balances on my lap without feeling as though I'm hugging an elephant.

Most of my guitar playing over 10 years has been with acoustics. And my emphasis in this review is while using the "acoustic" settings for which I feel qualified. The other electronics presets offer a vast range of sounds best evaluated by experienced electric guitar players.

I also use an unusual set-up caused by my dimished reach in my shoulders and fingers. I set this Enya up with five strings tuned to G2, G3, C4, E4, and A4 at the high end with a capo at the 5th fret. This is basically a modified ukulele tuning with the G2 providing a deeper and richer low end. Nonetheless, I play with other guitar players and produce deeper tones than those using smaller guitars (ie. smaller than dreadnaughts). Anyone with smallish hands and limited reach might try this, especially if you play ukulele. Or if you play ukulele and would like a deeper resonance yet don't want to wrestle with a guitar's difficult six-string fingering, any smallish guitar can be set up this way. I have a travel Enya (non-electric) which I set up this way and play with the Cape Cod Ukulele Club. I use steel strings and the capo at the 2nd fret. A much richer sound than a standard baritone uke.

Enya makes a solid, cleanly crafted instrument priced fairly in the mid-range marketplace. For those wanting comfort and rich sound, it's a find I've been seeking for a number of years.

So it turns out the guitar can over heat in regular temperatures I had walked from the shop where I got it setup at to the house about a mile away by the time I got back to the house the guitar had over heated even in the case so there was no volume and the tuner froze after letting the guitar cool off in the house I checked and it operates like normal and even plays better after the setup so right now I highly recommend this after a few months I'll update again it will get a lot of miles of use as I am a professional guitar player so I will run it through its paces
