I have a good friend, whom I have known most of my life, who is a bass player. I saw this and i thought it would be a cool little BD gift for him.
It is a lovely little reproduction of a double bass/contrabass, with a stand, and a bow, which also fits in the stand.
Very detailed, down to the tuning pegs, strings, and bridge-piece.
NOTE: This is the second one I needed to order, because the first one was shipped in that typical white plastic bubble-wrap envelope Amazon uses. The box the bass comes in is thin cardboard. If any other box falls on this envelope, or if a worker accidentally steps on it, there is minimal protection for the item. My first order arrived SMASHED TO PIECES in the crushed box within the envelope. The second arrived undamaged, fortunately. Amazon should ship these in one of their small boxes, because during shipping, it is fragile. I had to take an extra trip to the UPS Store, after Amazon emailed me a free return label, to return the smashed fist order.
No reflection on the item, which is really nice, so 5-Stars, but One-Star for Amazon shipping, in this case.
