    I bought this uke as a spare and a no-worry instrument to use to give lessons on. But i was instantly blown away with the look and feel of it. The abalone and tortoise-shell inlay and edging and the classy B on the headstock are all beautifully done. The sound of the uke is good and the items that come with it are both useful and nice quality. While the action was a bit high, that was easily corrected by swapping out the saddle for a lower rising one I saved from a “retired” knockaround uke. This is easily the best budget-line uke and package deal around. And my order arrived days before it was scheduled. Great deal, great company!

    Good tuner, gig bag and stand. I got just what I had hoped for in the Uke itself. The figured wood is really cool looking and the binding looks really good as well. The tuners work well and seem to hold tune just fine. This is my first Uke and I don't know about others, but I used to buy/sell high end/vintage guitars and I am quite pleased with what I got for what I paid. Highly recommended.

    I mainly bought this ukulele because it looks great in the pictures and the included goodies. DVDs for ukulele and guitar so that’s a bonus. Basic bag that does have a little padding. Wow this uke is even prettier than the online pictures. I already cherish it. Size-wise it’s a bit smaller than my other tenor. Setup seems normal to me. I’m still tuning and breaking in strings so it’s hard to comment definitively on sound. It sounds very good to my ear for a laminate. So above average, consistent, not mind blowing. As I use it more, I might edit this review to talk about the sound more. I really love this uke ???? wooooooo

    For fifty dollars, I got a lot more than I expected. It didn't need any adjustment, the sound was great for what it is, it IS a laminate uke after all, but it sounds as good or better than any other laminate that I've ever played. It's prettier than the pictures do it justice, at least the zebrawood one I got is. All in all, I was impressed for the money. It's on par with any other laminate I've played both sound and quality wise.

    At this time, I will keep and continue to learn to play ukulele. When I ordered, I was not sure what to expect. Sound is great as well as overall look of Barcelona EN 500-C.
    Still continue to tune and break in Aquila Supernylgut Strings.

    OMG! THIS THING IS BEUTIFUL!! Seriously, I feel like this is a pricing error. Took a chance as I figured I could return it. It's beutiful! wonderful gloss and sounds really nice. I wonder if this is the same as the Lohanu spalted maple but different label? That one is maybe 170? I highly recommend this. I have been super pleased. I dont have other ukuleles around to directly compare the sounds, but it seems fine. Clear and in tune. I love it. I need to upload some photos, that give this instrument the justice it deserves. For the prices totally beats other more expensive ukes.

    -Wonderful finish and inley
    -a properly arched back that "bubbles" outward,usually you only see this in much more expensive ukes. It makes the sounds a bit more perky.
    -definitely holds a tune. I can play for awhile and it stays sharp/
    -Looks gorgeous.
    -Included tuner is pretty decent.

    The little soprano is perfect, absolutely love it! Met all the things I require when adding to my collection. High tuning gears, arched back, bone nut and saddle are the top three things most important to me. Until now I've only bought solid wood but I'm impressed with this laminated. I will be looking for more Barcelonas. Only dislike is the strap, it wraps under the body and hooks into the sound hole, just don't like it so it's been replaced. Don't think anyone will be disappointed in this ukulele.
