My parents were professional violinists. So I’m somewhat familiar with the instrument. Taking piano lessons as a child, I’ve never been more than barely competent. But most important I understand the great value in introducing young people to the musical arts and instruments.
So what drew me to this Vangoa violin as an item to review was its 3/4 size for youngsters and its very approachable price point. I’ve also reviewed beginner’s guitars with the same zeal. This Vangoa violin can be a child’s introduction to all stringed instruments. At minimum, a child will become familiar and maybe will develop a level of appreciation for the instrument and its music. If they move forward with the violin, then it might be time to look again at an upgraded violin. But for now and focusing on this Vangoa violin kit, I see this as a very valuable gift for a child who’s showing an interest in violin but whose parents may not be able to afford the instrument. In my opinion the Vangoa could be that introductory step for a future virtuoso.
