This drum easily produces very pure tones. It is relativly easy to learn, but the young children in the family also love to play with it and create their own "music". I have had this about a month and no one has lost interest in it. It is also quite durable. It comes with a very nice carrying case. It also comes with a nice instruction manual and a bunch of songs to play.

It's great and a great price compared to some others we saw. Ours is a dark Turquoise color. It has that "burlap" kind of wrap around the rim. I took it off. It really does nothing musically and it kept sliding around. Very "hippie" looking. It looks and works great without it. Anyway, it has very pleasant deep and higher tones. Very nice for the price.

This is such a great beginners hang drum. It has a really lovely sound and doesn’t drive anyone too crazy while I practice. Gorgeous color in green too. It would make a great gift and it’s easy to transport since it’s a smaller size.

The tongue drum has a beautiful resonant key. The center one is slightly off. However, it has a variety of notes. The book does not explain itself well, at all. My drum had D on the bottom of it, which I assume means it is in the key of D Major. I read music. This book is interesting Greek. It does not suggest positioning of the drum and ways to learn the notes. It does not outright say anything about the dotted notes. It assumes you know these melodies so you will know the timing. Please work on making the book clearer. But, I am learning songs and I can use normal music to play on the drum. Overall, I am satisfied with the product for the price.

I tried a bunch of these products smaller ones bigger ones, but this one is the best sounding one I found. The strap that comes with the bag, the clip isn’t that great on it but that’s just the bag. The instrument itself is awesome. I would give it four stars because of the clip on the bag not working, but I’m giving it five stars because of the instrument itself, I do think it should come with two more sticks.

Buying a musical instrument online is really frustrating. When you can't hear or feel it then it's hard to tell if it's going to be good or not so you pay your money and take your chances. I bought two tongue drums. The same price. Both had good reviews. But they were miles apart in quality. I thought the first one I got sounded good but there were a couple of kind of dead sounding notes and one note sounded out of tune. It was big and heavy and hard to handle. Then this one came...what a difference!! The tone on this tongue drum is awesome and no dead notes or out of tune notes. It's thinner and easier to handle and play and the rope around the side was already on and it looks great.( compared to the other drum which had an ill fitting yarn that wouldn't stay in place). Thank goodness for the amazon return policy! If you are looking for a 15 note quality drum in this price range, I don't think you could do any better than this one. It sounds great, looks great, and is a real pleasure to play. Highly recommended!!!

This was purchased as a gift for the grand daughter. It was easy for her to learn and loves the sound of the drum. It is a great starter piece for anyone that would like to learn a new instrument.
