5.0 out of 5 stars Keyboard stand, simple

Easy to put together, durable, adjustable. Exactly what I needed for my son’s keyboard. There is not a way to secure the keyboard to the stand, I added a thingy for security. Good value for cost.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy enough for a yamaha

I've been using the GLEAM Z-Style Adjustable Heavy Duty Piano Stand for a while now, and it's been a great choice for my keyboard. The Z-style design makes it very sturdy, even for my heavy keyboard, and the adjustable height and width mean I can always find a comfortable playing position. The wheels are a lifesaver when I need to move the stand around, and the brakes keep it from rolling away when I'm playing. Overall, it's a well-built, versatile stand that's a good value for the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Instructions aren't clear but easy enough

I had to more parts around 4 times to get them in the right position. The instruction sheet is just a picture with circled areas for the designated screws. Two of the bars have an extra hole and that is for the adjustment bar, the instructions do not tell you that. I had to readjust the bars a few times before realizing this.
Once I did, it is sturdy enough for the foldable 88 key keyboard that I purchased. Aside from the confusion, it was very easy to assemble. It came with a screwdriver that wasn't crap, like a lot of these "assembly required" products seem to.
For a piano stand, it's a good purchase. Would recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Durable, sturdy, and adjustable.

Absolutely recommend this. My daughter has a very expensive keyboard ($1400+) that she never played because the stand I bought for it broke. After buying this one....she still doesn't play, but dang does that thing look pretty on this stand.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible and cheap. Top is not aligned. Very unstable.

When I got this in such a small box I was like oh my. And then I opened it and saw it's this really cheap stuff where they have the metal popper things to put things together.

Now these things on their own are really horrible. This is the stuff that cheap mops and stuff are made from and for that it's ok coz it's not really supposed to be heavy duty, but when it comes to stuff like this it's never been the most sturdy.

Now if it's a some small table or something that's not meant to have a lot of weight on it or you're not gonna have expensive electronics on it, that's ok.

But when we're talking about a synthesizer keyboard I mean. Come on. You need to have solid construction.

I'm glad that they still make solidly constructed keyboard stands which aren't like little erector sets, but actually fully forged steel that is not held together with chewing gum.

You can see the inprecise alignment in the photos and how unstable it is and from me just putting a little pressure on it, it buckles a little bit. I don't even want to think about putting something expensive or even remotely heavy on it.

Will be returning this.

3.0 out of 5 stars Let's be completely honest....
Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2024
PROs:
It's very affordable
Easy to assemble (using your own, larger screwdriver as opposed to theirs)
Easy to adjust
Made of good materials, metal, rubber and hardware
Light and easy to fold up when not in-use

CONs:
If you have a high end $$$ instrument, I would be concerened
If you are a very serious, live performer, I wouldn't recommend... why?
After it's put together, it's not very sturdy. It wobbles and flexes in a way that could mess with your musical accuracy. It's just not very stable.

I will likely be upgrading the spring loaded "push-pin" assembly to a "through-bolt" design with nylon lock-nuts to make this unit more stable. I'll need to do some drilling and purchase the extra hardware for this upgrade.

Also, the locking crossmember hinge-latch blade thing... It is also too flexible so I might be finding some metal flatstock to double up the thickness of that part also. More drilling and through-bolt work.

Overall, your approval of this product will depend on a few things:

- Your budget
- Your mechanical aptitude
- Your level of musical performance requirements
- The value you place on your keyboard being secure

I'll make it work for me and my use of this stand is mostly just in the studio.
In a live performance environment, you'd certainly want to perform the upgrades I mentioned above.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid design and does what it does best

It’s piano stand that stands with a piano on top, it’s good.
I’ve been using for a few months now and it’s been faithful so far. Simple to mount, took me less than 30 minutes with the instructions.
It currently has an ALESIS RECITAL PRO on top and it doesn’t move however, the straps that it brings hardly reach both ends and it doesn’t fit the holes either. That said, it doesn’t need it, it’s a big piano, not a suitcase to carry around. If you leave it still, it’ll do it’s job perfectly.
