    This was a Christmas gift to my 3-year-old son and it is perfect! It was easy to assemble, although I was glad my musician husband was helping because there were some steps that confused me a little (I would have figured it out!). The size is perfect for my tall 3-year-old. The sound quality is actually great for a kid's set. The stool is not the sturdiest and the foot pedal doesn't attach well. But he loves it and I don't regret the purchase.

    This drum set is amazing. We were looking at several options for children's drumsets for our 4 year old niece. We wanted something that was going to hold up for a few years that she could grow into and something that could take a beating (literally). For the money, this was perfect. We even used our Cricuit to create stickers for her band name.

    I recently purchased the Ashthorpe 3-Piece Complete Junior Drum Set from Amazon with the hope of introducing my 10-year-old child to the world of drumming. Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been far from satisfactory.

    First and foremost, the drum set's appearance is deceiving. The product looks significantly larger in the pictures compared to its actual size. This discrepancy is not only misleading but also results in a drum set that appears cheap and poorly proportioned. The overall design lacks the visual appeal one would expect, making it feel like a subpar imitation rather than a genuine junior drum set.

    The quality of the product is another major concern. The drum set feels flimsy and lacks the sturdiness required for a beginner, especially a child. The materials used in construction seem cheap, and the overall build quality does not justify the price tag. It's disappointing to invest in a product that fails to meet even basic expectations for durability and craftsmanship.

    As for the so-called "Adjustable Throne," it's more of a disappointment than a feature. The adjustability is limited, and the comfort level is subpar. For a young drummer just starting out, a comfortable and supportive throne is crucial for an enjoyable learning experience. Unfortunately, this drum set falls short in providing a suitable seating option for young players.

    Considering the size discrepancy and poor build quality, I strongly advise against purchasing the Ashthorpe Junior Drum Set for a 10-year-old child. It not only looks cheaper than advertised but also fails to deliver on the necessary features and comfort required for a beginner's drumming journey. Invest your money in a more reliable and accurately represented junior drum set that prioritizes quality and provides a positive learning experience for young musicians.
