    Who doesn't like a steel drum? While it doesn't necessarily sound like a real steel drum to me, it does have a really pleasant tone. All of our household has had fun playing it - so it's great for "kids" of any age. The drum itself is really sturdy and has some heft to it. It is well made. And to me, the stand out is the case! The case is actually really nice! Like shockingly nice. So if you're looking for something to keep kids entertained, or need an instrument for a drum circle, this thing is a great option.

    The sound is quite soothing and not aggitating like most kids musical instrumental toys. Even the Dad got to playing with it. They are smaller than I imagined though.

    I don't know much about steel tongue drums, but when this cute little drum caught my eye, my curiosity got the better of me! I knew I had to find out what the deal is with this adorable looking instrument! ????

    It looks like a kid's toy, but this little drum actually works! A great tool to help you unwind, taking your mind off the worries and cares of this world!

    This miniature sized steel tongue drum measures 3 inches in diameter. It comes in a variety of attractive colors, but I chose the vibrant red! ???? The paint texture is slightly rough and has a nice matte finish! A 4-inch wooden mallet (similar to a giant looking matchstick) is included, along with a little songbook ????filled with a sample of songs ???? (Asian tunes) and a couple of sets of stickers.

    The base of the drum ???? is rounded, so it doesn't sit level on a surface. But it sits comfortably in the palm of your hand while you lightly hit the steel tongues, creating fun tunes and soothing melodies! I have even attempted to serenade the ????️????wildlife????????‍⬛ outside our house! Haha! ???? (More like I scared them away!)

    Due to the size of the tongues, I must admit, it is a little tricky to play! But with some practice and a little patience, you can learn to play simple little melodies that will calm your mind and soothe your soul! ????The beautiful sounds of this little drum ????transport me to a very calming, relaxed place and help me to re-connect with nature! This would be a great decorative item to have in your ZEN space too!

    I suggest, placing this little instrument on a side table, a shelf or on your office desk, keeping it readily available for those times when life gets a little too much! ???? Simply pick up this drum and take some time out for self-care! Five minutes is all it takes to make a difference in your day!

    Highly recommend this for anyone who needs to incorporate a more calming, peaceful atmosphere into their lives! Or just for the FUN of it! ????

    The sound is good, but with how small the striking pads are, even as someone who is musically inclined and grew up with different instruments I find it difficult to consistently hit the right spots to make the sound. Something to fit in your pocket is novel but when certain things just can't be made small enough without drawbacks. Sure I could probably spend 10 hours learning how to hit the tiny pads every time but it's not worth it.

    It looks nice though so perhaps it could be a gift that sits on a floating shelf for an eternity as eye candy.

    Not easy to use. Very small and that makes it hard to hit the right spot. I didn't find the manual easy to understand at all. I do like the sound it makes, so I goof around with it now and then for relaxation. But it isn't something to be used as a real instrument, it's just a toy.
