    Few things in the world are as awesome as seeing your 15-year old daughter play Sweet Child O Mine or Thunderstruck. While the amp on this would never be confused with something at the Shoreline Amphitheater, it is more than strong enough for a stater and single use practice in your room (by yourself lol). She doe NOT need a larger amplifier no matter what you kids say until they are convinced this is their road to riches.

    The guitar is sturdy with good strings, is tunable, and works just fine for a first electric ax!

    Seems to work well enough, he's been using it off and on. I got an electric guitar hoping it would keep his interest longer than an acoustic. The value is there for somebody just starting out, since a used guitar on Facebook cost almost as much as this whole set combined

    This guitar is great! Fast shipping as described. The amp is tiny but will get you started. My son is 11 and it’s perfect.

    This set is about what you should expect for this price range when getting a guitar, all the accessories, and a mini amp. On the plus side, the guitar and amp make noise and all the control switches and knobs seem to function as they should. Compared to my other solid-body electric guitars, this is lighter in weight. I compared the clip-on tuner to a known good one and they matched so that’s a plus. I like the looks of the guitar. The sky blue is attractive IMHO. Now the reality check.
    Everything in this set is entry level (I’m trying to avoid the word “cheap”). I will probably replace the strings immediately. The strap is just a cheap nylon strap. The cable is quite thin and I will be replacing it with a better cable I already have. I didn’t actually try the picks but inspection suggests that they are about the weight of Fender® light picks. The amp is TINY. It will fit in the palm of your hand so don’t confuse this with anything but a practice amp.
    When playing the guitar, I found the action to be too high for my liking. Fortunately, the manual that comes in the set is actually quite useful and describes, among other things, how to adjust the action. Whether lowering the strings will cause unacceptable hum remains to be seen. The manual does a good job describing all the parts of the instrument and the effects of changing the switch and knob positions on pickup activation. It also tells how to change strings, make adjustments for string action and intonation, and adjust the truss rod. Of note, it is written in understandable English grammar!
    Having pointed out all the expected drawbacks, let me say that playing the guitar was fun. As I said, it is lighter than my other guitars which makes it easier to handle. For simply sitting down and practicing, this set is just fine. The little amp makes enough noise and has enough controls to adjust the sound to your liking. It has a rechargeable internal battery so you only have one cord/cable running into and out of the amp when playing. The battery is charged with a standard USB-c charging cable. A short one is included in the set. I will be upgrading the strings, strap, and cable, and adjusting the string action, but this will probably end up being the electric guitar and amp sitting out ready to be played when the mood hits me.
    Overall, this is a solid beginner’s guitar set. It will provide you with everything you need to get started playing the guitar (minus the instruction). I think you would be happier with the upgrades I mentioned, but you can get started playing a tuned guitar with all the pieces of this set. I’m glad I added it to my collection and recommend this product.
