I got this after getting a Ray34H and I much prefer the double pups on this but they are really 2 different basses. This thing comes in at a hefty 11lbs, 1oz and is by far the heaviest bass in my collection.
I like the finish, I like the roasted maple neck, I like everything about the neck - thickness, width - but it would have been nice at this price point to roll the fret board edges (Sire MM's have this standard on all their basses, even ones at close to half this price).
Also, wtf sterling with the weight! OMG! Body is a little thick so w/out sacrificing tone, could this be shaved down a little to save some weight? Or use a different wood for the body (I believe it's Nyatoh).
TIP: this was sold by gearnuts which is connected to sweetwater; sweetwater has a few of these listed with weights 9lbs14oz, 10lbs7oz & 10lbs2oz so you may want to pick one of those - a lesson I've since learned in the past month of GAS. But even 9lbs14oz is a lot. If you're going to play this standing up, get a GOOD strap; I'd recommend it for sitting unless you've got a terminator build.
