Great for midi to iPhone with lightening cable/USB. Now I can use my VST I purchased and access without turning the computer on! It’s a life save specially practicing and creating or playing on the go!

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid usb to MIDI cable

Quick note about the accompanying picture. It's a side-by-side comparison of the USB to MIDI cable (top 2) vs. standard MIDI cable (bottom) I've had for many, many years. As you can see there's not much difference between the thickness of the cables - only difference is the length of the MIDI plug (which should really make no difference at all) And on the MIDI cable below is a little more in terms of molded support for the cable itself.

Otherwise, in the short time I've had it, I've noticed nothing bad about this USB to MIDI cable. Got nothing negative to say and only positive things to like . . . I do appreciate that the cable has a "monitor" of sorts - it lights up on MIDI in/Out data. It has a "rude" light (always on once plugged via USB) to let you know that it's powered. Windows found it no problem - like I said I can't find any downside to it.

I got this to use in conjunction with a Behringer FCB1010 MIDI floor controller. There was some talk on some message boards that USB midi works a bit better for this device than going through a standard midi interface (can't tell if that's true) but I can say it works for this. I also connected the MIDI ends to other devices laying around my studio - including, but not limited to, an Alesis QS7 keyboard controller, an Alesis D4 drum module, and Ensoniq's ESI 32 sampler - no issues They showed up fine in my DAW (cubase) . . .

I wish I could speak on the durability of this device, but I can't. I've not had it long enough to judge nor am I the MIDI consumer/user that I used to be - but it seems really solid - so barring accidental damage to the unit, I'm fairly confident it will last as long as some of the MIDI cables I currently have lying around (well not as good as a few are from the 90's decade) Yes, I still have a few of those cables in use. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great!

This is a simple MIDI cable interface that plugs into your PC/MAC via USB A and has an OUT/IN MIDI cable. This helps convert the MIDI signals from a typical computer without the need of a MIDI capable audio interface.

The installation was as simple as plugging the USB port into the computer and the Midi end into the appropriate MIDI ports in your midi chain. Tip: Connect the OUT labelled on the end of the cable to your midi capable device's MIDI IN port, and the IN end to the device's MIDI OUT port. You might have a bigger MIDI chain with more instruments, but this is what I forgot to do, and once I fixed it all was good!

I like the decent length and the fact that it has LED indicators of being powered and with indication of the MIDI signals IN and OUT each.

    Works great!

This does the trick if you need a quick and dirty USB to midi connection. Tested it with a few of my synths and Logic with no issues. Not much more to say other than it works :). Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars 10 second install. No drivers. No headaches.

I used this to connect an ancient 90's Yamaha keyboard to my brand-new Windows 11 PC. I got the keyboard from a rummage sale for $25. I am an absolute beginner keyboard player. I connected the USB through a passive 15' USB extension cord. I was nervous that might cause errors or a lag.

There is no perceivable lag and no errors. I use PianoMarvel to learn sight reading and playing along to simple songs. I don't think it needs to be perfectly on point so I don't know that I would really notice minor lag.

All good. I would order this again.

This is just what I needed to get an old MIDI keyboard working. The USB port broke on it so I needed a MIDI cable. Connection was easy, it was plug and play, and the cable itself seems like decent quality. Great for the price

I just got a new midi controller and was looking for a good updated midi cable and not just the plain old USB cable. This one is very high quality and versatile all wrapped up into one.

This cable adapter is amazing. Plug and play!

I plugged the USB cable into my Mac and the Midi-in to the midi-out of my Yamaha digital piano... and bam, instant controller for my Mac audio apps. I use it primarily with Pianoteq and Logic Pro. Works perfectly, low latency.

Perfect for older MIDI keyboards and music devices.
