5.0 out of 5 stars Really Makes A Difference
Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2024
I use this for Guitar practice. I have two locations on two different music stands. I only need one light for both locations as it can be unclipped and moved back and forth as needed with ease. I got this to even out the lighting on the pages of line music in plastic sleeves that reflect lights making it difficult to concentrate or worse lose my place and timing. This model has two foldable lights side by side on a bending stem attached to an alligator clip that is pretty strong but not difficult to open and slide off and on and very secure.
I find I use the brightest setting on white light with reading glasses for best results and the results are dramatic for me. I like the amber setting on loose pages not in a plastic sleeve depending on the paper its printed on. When moved to my other location where ambient light is mostly from overhead track lighting I might be O.K. with the light at 4 or even 3 depending on angles of the overhead lamps to the music pages. There's sure to be a setting for most lighting scenarios anyone could come up with. In total darkness with this as the only source and you don't want it to be distracting to listening audience, you can bend the stand enough to hide behind the music stand and change to a blue or amber light on low setting. Its very adjustable. But for home practice the brightest setting on white will likely be my default. I don't find I'm needing a "6" setting.
I can find no fault with this light except the battery, but its a pretty good battery comparatively speaking. As long as you keep it on charge when not in use, you will not have any problems. If you leave it on while not in use there's going to be a problem when you need it most. When plugged in there are blue lights that flash so that you can tell the level of charge you have. I leave it on my stand and plugged in all the time in one location and the other location the cord barely reaches and gets in my way so I play with it unplugged and the battery lasts for more than the 3 hours I would need it for. If you are used to tending your cell phone then this will not be a problem if you are using it every day.
This light is just so versatile and perfect for my use. I would likely have been happy with the "bug eyes" that move around but I reckoned I would need both eyes together to even out the light from top to bottom of a page. This one does fine at the bottom portion of a page. Yes, the top is always going to be brighter than the bottom but its not a difference that's distracting.
I will update this in a year if the battery gives out or something breaks, but I'm not sure I would buy a different replacement if it did.
I wish the battery recharge cord was longer, but that's just being too picky.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality, three different brightness, and chargeable.

This light device also works on my cheaper music stand. I just clip it to my middle flat part, strong grip. I love the two lights are ajustable separately and there are three choices of the strength of the light. The device is very well built. I ended up evidently ordering three. Gave one to my music teacher. She thinks it is awesome! The carry bag is velvet and carries it very nicely.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well

I got this so I could cast a light on the painting on my easel without having my own shadow block my view of what I'm doing, and it solved the problem. It clipped on the easel with no difficulty, and the lighting is bright enough for me, though so far I've only used it on small pieces. I sometimes supplement with a clamp light behind me, and it's much better than having one clamp light by itself, which really creates shadows. I like that you can adjust the placement of the lights and that you don't have to deal with a cord. I haven't fully tested the battery life, but recharging is easy. I don't know if the lighting accurately mimics natural light, but it doesn't seem oddly yellow or anything. [edit: after I posted this, I realized that you can adjust the tone of the light by holding down the button.] I think it works, and pushing the button to go through the brightening levels is fun. The parts that fold up move smoothly, too--the whole thing has a friendly kind of design, that's easy to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Compact Performance Light!

We recently saw this rechargeable music stand light. . . . . from one of our ukulele group members!
During the holidays, we used it to help us perform holiday carols for group sing-alongs!
As we get older, we realize that our night vision is a bit more compromised, and this light really makes it SO much easier when the indoor settings are a bit dim for reading lyrics!
Very well made, easy to use, and adjust, and long battery life between charges.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice and bright, but it could be improved

This is about the Vekkia 64 Led Rechargeable Music Stand Light, Folding Clip On Piano Lamp. I really like the bright and adjustable light it provides. I like how it folds up and has a bag/carrying case. I would add another star if the two "wings" of lights could slide out from the center to cover more music and even better if each wing could be a few inches longer. I often have 3 or 4 pages spread out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Music Studio solution!
Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2024
I was having a hard time seeing the music while teaching, so were my students. I bought a designer lamp, but it was not tall enough and cast too much of a shadow, even with my nice Potter Barn lamp above giving some light.
Just decided to get 2 of these on Prime Days around $15-$20 each.
Best thing I EVER did, and should have done it a long time ago. Now my piano students have adequate light, as it gets dark around 5pm in Utah winter.
When one is dimming, I just switch it to the charging cord and use that one for the piano while I accompany my flutists. Plus I have these now for opera, ballet pits and gigs, and they're rechargeable! You could plug a portable charger in if you have an extra long gig, but they last a few hours as is. I haven't really timed when they go dim after a full charge.
Oh! There are 3 different colors on these to choose from! And 5 brightness levels to choose from. I prefer the blended natural mixed with LED blue.
    AWESOME options!!
Overall, I'm thrilled with these. Best, easiest, cheapest solution ever!!!!!

This is a great choice for a music stand light because was inexpensive and it is rechargeable that works. It has several lighting colors and brightness options. You can move the flex arm to get correct position for you which stays put especially with its strong clip on mount.
