    This recorder comes with an instruction manual and a carry bag for the recorder. I ordered this instrument for my granddaughters. My granddaughters are 3 years old and love music. My son also played a Recorder in school so I thought we would all have fun with this instrument. The pink is perfect for the girls. This is a well made plastic instrument. The recorder is easy to play and sounds great. I liked it so much I ordered another so my granddaughters could each have one. I think this would make a practical fun gift for kids to learn an instrument.

    My daughter is learning to play the recorder, and the school provided her with one. I got her this one just because it was pretty, and so she'd have one at home in case she forgot to bring the other home for practice. She much prefers this recorder. She says that aside from being prettier, it is easier to play, although the sound is the same (good). It feels very well-constructed, too. It is a crazy-good value.

    This has to be the prettiest recorder I have seen, lol. I was also very surprised at how inexpensive it is given the fantastic quality. It is a bit on the higher scale being soprano, but it functions just the same as a regular recorder.

    So, I got this recorder for my son to practice his music skills. At this price point, it's exactly what you'd expect - a basic instrument that does the job for a young beginner.

    The recorder is made of food-grade ABS plastic, with a three-piece design that makes it easy to clean and transport. It comes with a fingering chart and carry pouch, which is a nice touch. The German fingering style matches what they use at school, so there's no learning curve.

    As for sound quality, well, it's a beginner's recorder. It's not going to sound like a professional instrument, but it seems on par with the ones used in school music classes. My son doesn't seem to mind the sound, and he's enjoying learning to play.

    The digitally tuned tone holes are supposed to help with accuracy, and the airtight design is meant to produce more consistent sounds. For a young learner just starting out, it does the job.

    Great value, basic functionality. Everything you need for a young musician's first instrument.

    I’m not an expert at the quality of recorders. However, this was a very nice toy for kids if that is how you are using it. The color is cute too. Very nostalgic!

    What better time to test and review a musical instrument that has been known to drive parents of budding musicians to the brink of insanity than when one is already experiencing a raging migraine?

    I really didn’t expect much from this inexpensive ABS plastic recorder, but I was pleasantly surprised. It actually sounds BETTER than my very similar entry level recorder of a well-known and highly reputable brand of musical instruments! The sound of this recorder is crisper and sweeter, and it seems to have slightly better dynamic range than the other brand. The tuning is very accurate with no noticeably off-key notes (unless you forget that it uses German, not Baroque, fingering). It struggles a little in the second (higher) octave, but most beginners won’t be playing those higher notes anyway. (Or, at least not intentionally.)

    Parents and primary school music teachers, I can recommend this recorder for your young students without reservation. I may actually be playing this one regularly because it doesn’t make my head hurt, even with a preexisting migraine!

    I'm a collector of musical instruments so I had to get this. It's apparently for kids but it's definitely not just a toy. My grandson loves to try my instruments when he's visiting. This is mostly for him to have his own first instruments but gets to stay with mimi for now. It's good quality and easy to clean, my grandson loves it and my little dog hates it lol. It's a nice color of blue, sounds good and it's fun to play. Great price too.

    Yep, I have old memories of being a kid and blowing on a recorder and annoying the adults. Now, I willfully got this so that my kids can have the same experience. I was painfully reminded of this when all the sudden I felt something cool against my ear followed by a full-lung loud blast of squeaky recorder in all it's glory.
    Yes, this thing harkens back to days of yore. But besides this, it actually does work. Now to get the kids on track to playing actual tunes...
    Wish me and my eardrums luck...
