    I was wanting to join the church band my son was in for their Christmas concert. I had an old king trumpet, that felt and sounded like someone had shoved a sock down in it so I bought the EastRock Trumpet to get my chops back after 37 years so I could play in the concert. This trumpet is great! The valves work perfect, and it is beautiful. The valve oil that came with it was "good enough" but I had better and I use that with it.
    I got my chops back and played it in the concert and it sounded great!
    You can't beat this trumpet for the price. I have included a video of me practicing for the concert so the playing isn't perfect but you can get an idea of what it sounds like and looks like in action.

    We purchased this trumpet for our son to learn how to play in his school band. The valves are not overly difficult or "sticky" like you might expect on a cheaper trumpet. The valves are smooth and are easy to play.
    The case is a good case and appears durable so far. For the price, you cannot beat the value, sound, and all-around quality of this trumpet. Would recommend for anyone that is looking for a solid instrument at a cheaper cost than the competition.

    Ok, I keep seeing everyone getting these things for free to demo on video, I totally wished they did that for me because that would have been awesome.

    Anyway moving forward. I'm a absolute beginner at musical instruments, I tried to learn the violin and that was just way to hard for me learn and practice on and I also wanted to learn the trumpet bit they were always super expensive un now.

    I found this lime green one(fyi, it looks cool to me) at a really inexpensive price of like $80 or 90 dollars. Now, all the stuff you get is cool and useful which is nice to have in the beginning. Honestly, I spent 3-5 minutes playing with it in the garage and had so much fun doing so. Instantly I knew I was hooked on learning how to play this instrument.

    So, if your on the fence, take the leap. It's the cost of about a full tank of gas in California. You only live once and why deprive yourself of the music of your life.

    I never expected a lot, but I was surprised. It's better than I expected. The tone quality isn't great, but the valve action suits, although after I played it for about an hour total, the valves did develop some kind of gunk. It was impossible to know what it was, but I assume it's just the break-in gunk of a new horn (although my higher quality axes didn't have this). Since I cleaned them out (don't forget the cylinder) it's been dependable - but the day is young yet. My main complaint is that there's a good bit of resistance in the extreme lower register, but who plays down there, anyway? All in all, worth the price.

    Our grandson is in his first season of Trumpet and he loves it. This was a huge success as a gift. He loved the color, the sound, the case, all together such a great deal.
