5.0 out of 5 stars Invincible pick!

Was a fender medium devotee until I used one of these when I ran out of the other. Unbreakable. Excellent for heavy-handed players. Guitar's not coated in celluloid dust at the end of a gig. Never thought I'd switch but this is a very excellent guitar pick. Texture prevents slippage. Looks like it's almost impossible to wear the thing down. I'm a nylon pick convert now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really Good Picks!!!

Last month, I'd purchased a sample pack of guitar picks. I wanted to try some different thicknesses along with different material's. I went around and around in circles...just when I'd thought I was settling on one pick, I'd change my mind.
Well, after using several different picks from the sample package I'd purchased, I chose this pick.

For me, they're easy to hold and they give the way I like a pick to give when you're strumming your stick with strings.
For everyone that plays guitar, everyone is going to have their own opinion about picks, just like we do with strings.
For me, this is a great pick!

I got them because I found out Adam Jones of tool uses them and they are light and very grippy. Very easy to play strum tool riffs but still has enough hold for more complicated picking patterns

Using these as I learn the guitar. Love the grips! Makes it so much easier to learn--especially as an older student. I believe they come in all different weights. I love the grips and will probably move on to a more intermediate weight when the time comes. Lots in the package too--don't know if I'll even use them all!

These picks were my main squeeze for 6 years. The last couple of years I went over to the Jazz III picks because I wanted something shorter for a bit more control. Just picked up a pack of these and completely forgot why I switched it up. I got a thinner pick this time around and it just feels like home. The grip is the BEST I've ever felt, it feels like the pick is GLUED to your fingers. Save yourself some time and pick these up. You won't find a better pick.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent grip!

I’ve tried a variety of picks with ridges, raised logos, etc. and these are far superior. Arthritis prevents me from having a strong grip anyway and the pick design allows a very light touch.
Choice of picks is obviously quite personal, and for me the .88 is too flexible which surprised me. The 1.14 is “just right” 8-D

5.0 out of 5 stars Rick Beato uses these grippy picks

I got these on the recommendation of Rick Beato on YouTube. He mentions them in one of his videos and in a 2022 Guitar World magazine interview if you are interested. Dunlop is a great brand and these are made in the USA if that is important to you. These are made of nylon and I found the .73mm thickness has the perfect amount of flex and rigidity for my playing. They do seem a little lighter than an equivalent celluloid pick. The main feature is the tread plate pattern of nubs that help keep the pick in place in your fingers. They do that perfectly and are not too tall or coarse that they are uncomfortable. These hold their playing edge for a long time.

These are perfect for a beginner that is still learning to just hold on to the pick. I remember when I started out and the picks would twist and turn or drop completely. These are just as good for an advanced or pro guitarist as they let you really control the pick attack and angle. As Rick states in his interview about these, “The only ones I can hold onto anymore – probably because I’m an old guy”!

The only negative is that there is some molding line flash on the ones I purchased at the wide end where they were injected and a little on the playing end (see photos). It's a little sharp on the wide end and a little sandpaper or knife can smooth this out. The flash on the tip wears in quickly so not really a concern. Give them a try! You can never have too many picks and these are pretty nice.
